Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week-It is a holiday week, so this week is going to a bit different.

Monday-We have swim and diving in the morning.  It is going to be a hot day so either swimming or hanging out inside.  S has a game in the evening which will make for a hot night.

Tuesday-We have swim and diving in the morning.  Nothing else planned for the day.  We will try to go to the fireworks at night.  The kids and I love fireworks.  They are totally excited for them.

Wednesday-Today is the 4th of July.  There is no swim or diving.  I think we are hanging out at home and will try to go to the fireworks in Waterville at night.

Thursday-Back to swim and diving in the morning.  S has his last baseball game of the season before the tournaments start next week!  I am going to miss it.  I have loved this season and keeping book for his team.

Friday-We have swim and diving.  The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.

Saturday-Home Depot has a kids build in the morning we will attend.

Sunday-We have a wedding shower for my cousin.  That will pretty much take up the entire day because it is at Marblehead.

Last Week Recap

Monday we had swimming and diving. It was actually pretty chilly.  S had his under the lights game and I wore a long sleeve shirt and pants.  By the end of the night I was wearing a jacket, too.  The kids had a fun time playing under the lights, but by the end of the game at 10:15pm, P and S were done.

Tuesday was another day of swim and diving.  B worked on getting the fence installed around the pool which he had done by the time we got home from swim.  S had another baseball game.  The other team didn’t have enough players so it ended up being a scrimmage.  The coach gave every player a chance to pitch if they wanted.  S got to pitch and I was laughing so hard at it I had to turn around so he didn’t see.  He managed to get one strike which he was totally happy with.  Afterward S went with his grandma for ice cream and P and I headed home.

Wednesday it was a dreary morning.  P and I got ready for her tee ball only to find out that it was cancelled when we were on our way.  We drove by the park anyways so I could prove it to P and then went to the library.  We met A up there so P had someone to play with.  They just happen to have story time and enough room for her so she got to go to story time with A.  They both had fun.  We had to head home in the rain to get ready for swim and diving.  The rest of the day was overcast but the rain stopped.  S still has his game cancelled so we ended up riding scooters around the driveway before getting dinner.

Thursday we had swim and diving in the morning.  B and I ran to Toys R Us for a final time and then in the afternoon we swam for quite a while.  At about 6:30pm we headed inside and got showers.  Afterward we ate dinner and watched a movie before the kiddos went to bed. I was so tired I was in bed and asleep by 9pm.

Friday the kids had dentist appointments (no cavities!) and then we had soccer and diving.  It was another scorcher outside so P only made it through about 2/3 of soccer before she was done.  I told her when she wanted to stop she could.  It was over 90° outside and the heat index was close to 100°.  S had diving at the same time so at least he got to cool off in the pool.  Afterward we went home and hung out in the air conditioning for a few hours.  Later we went swimming and had S’s cousin and our neighbors over for a cook-out.  The kids had a ton of fun and got to end the night with ice cream cones.

Saturday S had an early baseball game.  It was so hot outside when the game started at 9:30am.  The kids were pretty miserable and lethargic through the game.  S did great and got 2 really good hits.  He has definitely improved through the season.   Afterward we hung out at home.  I took a nap and the kids watched a movie.  S’s friend came over in the afternoon to swim.  We stayed out there until it was time to come inside for dinner, showers, and bed.

Sunday I got to sleep in a little, while B got up with the kiddos.  I did some work on reviews and the blog in the morning when I got up.  I found out my Amazon account reviews got wiped again.  It sucks when that happens and I have to start all over again.  In the afternoon after I finally convinced P to wear her life jacket in the pool we went swimming.  We ended up getting pizza with the neighbors and swam until it was time for showers and bed.

Last Week

Monday-S and P have dive and swim in the morning.  B is going to come watch S dive because he will be busy the rest of the week.  It is going to be a cooler day so I am hoping the kids will play outside a ton.  S has his first under the lights game.  It is going to be a late night and I hope that both S and P make it through it.

Tuesday-B is helping get the fence around our pool installed first thing in the morning.  P and S have dive and swim.  S has a game after dinner and P is going to hang out with May while we are at the game.

Wednesday-P has teeball in the morning.  We have swim and diving afterward. S has piano lessons in the afternoon.  S has another late night game.  P is going to stay with Grandma because B is working and I cannot watch her and keep the book.  I just hope S doesn’t break down because he will be over tired.

Thursday-We have swim and diving in the morning.  When we get home I think we are going to try to go to Toys R Us one last time.  It is supposed to close tomorrow so I am curious to see if they will severely mark everything down to get rid of it.  (According to news articles it will not go below what it currently has been of 50-70% off.)

Friday-The kids have dentist appointments in the morning.  Then S has a make-p dive class.  If no swim classes get cancelled P will go to soccer basics.  If it is too hot we may not do soccer basics either.  I will let her make that decision.  The rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.

Saturday-S has an early morning game.  It is good it is an early game because it is going to be severely hot outside.  This might be a day we spend the day inside because it is too hot to even swim.

Sunday-We are just hanging out at home for the day.  If it is not too hot we will probably be out swimming and playing outside.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
