Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-S had field day at school.  P and I are hanging out at home.  S has a make-up baseball game after dinner.  P is going to Grandma G’s while we are at the soccer game.  It is supposed to rain and with B working and me keeping book it is too hard to keep track of her on top of that.

Tuesday-Another day of no plans, just hanging out at home.  S has piano lessons after dinner.

Wednesday-P has story time in the morning.  S has his end of the year party in the afternoon and I am going to help out with it.  S is skipping his soccer practice because he has a baseball game at the same time.

Thursday-This is S’s last day of school.  He is excited, and I am dreading it.  P is not happy at all, she asks on the weekends if S is leaving soon.  When we say no she gets upset.  The rest of the day there is not really anything going on.  There is the farmer’s market which I am sure at some point B will go.

Friday-No plans, our first official day of summer break.

Saturday-S has his last soccer game of the season.  The rest of the day we are just going to be hanging out at home, maybe swimming?

Sunday-No plans just hanging out at home.

Last Week Recap

Monday S ended up getting his baseball game cancelled due to rain.

Tuesday I worked on decorating P’s cake for her party in the evening.  She was so excited and was counting down the time.  S and I went to May Crowning at church.  When we got home I had to get P ready for the party in her party dress.   She was still in her pj’s from the morning.  P had a great time at the party.  She loved seeing everyone, eating cake, opening presents, and getting into trouble with her BFF, A.  Those two are thick as thieves.

Wednesday was P’s birthday.  We had story time in the morning.  P wore a birthday girl shirt.  After story time we had to hurry home because I had a meeting scheduled to learn how to make rosaries.  Well when I got to the meeting she had the wrong day so we scheduled it for tomorrow.  P and I made cupcakes when I got home because we had no cake leftover from yesterday to celebrate her birthday today.  P and I took S to his soccer practice.  While he was at practice P got to play on the playground and then had a dinner picnic watching the rest of practice.  When we got home we had cupcakes and P got to open her presents from us.  She loved all the Frozen dolls and the dollhouse.

Thursday P got up and was ecstatic to have the dollhouse put together.  She played with that house and the dolls for quite a few hours.  I went and learned how to make rosaries.  They told me initially that they give you 10 at a time to make, well they gave me 50!  P played with her dollhouse for most of the day.  S had a game after dinner.  He did well at the game and ended up hitting to get on base.  That means ice cream!  Since the game was not over till 7:30pm, and we still had homework to do, S was okay with having strawberry shortcake with ice cream at home.

Friday P had her 4 year well check in the morning.  She was not totally excited about going but I convinced her to go.  When we got there I found out she was getting two shots.  I had to be honest and tell her the truth.  She was not happy but was a good sport about it.  Afterward I told her she could get Tsum Tsums when she gets home for being so good about getting shots.  (Candy does not do it for her.)  We ended up going to my friend’s house so P could play with the kids for a short time.  She was happy about seeing the kids and had to show everyone her Band-Aids from getting shots.  We hung out at A’s house for dinner.  P loved playing with them.  S got tired of playing with the kids and went home before dinner.  When we went home before bedtime he was still playing on the tablet and forgot to even eat dinner.  At least he let Dinky out once so she could go potty.

Saturday I got P ready and took her to her grandma’s so grandma could take her to princess story time.  While that was happening S and I went to his baseball game.  He got a hit and got on base, which means we are going out for ice cream!  Right after the baseball game (which he won) we had to race to his soccer game.  S did not score a goal at the game but the one quarter he was a goalie he did not let a goal get scored against him.  When we got home it was a quick lunch and then we went to Build-A-Bear for P’s birthday.  We take them every year for their birthday.  P and I had already looked at everything online so she knew exactly what she wanted.  Afterward we went to Toys R Us to see what everything was marked down too.  We were not very impressed with the markdown percentages.  P fell asleep on the way home which was much needed.  I ended up taking the kids to Lola’s for frozen yogurt and ordered dinner to eat when we got home.  The kids played outside until it was time for showers and bed.

Sunday we hung out at home in the morning.  P was pretty whiny so after lunch I asked her if she wanted to go to the other Toys R Us.  Really I was hoping she would fall asleep and take a nap.  We all ended up going and found Tamatoa (the singing crab) from Moana and the movie Moana.  The rest of the day we hung out at home, and B went to work.

Last Week

Monday-B is working on the pool if the rain doesn’t happen.  S has a baseball game after school.  It is going to be 80°, maybe P will get a chance to play in the water?

Tuesday-I am going to be busy finishing the cake for P.  I am making an ice cream cake this year or at least attempting.  S and I are going to the May Crowning which is his last class for catechism this year.  Afterward we are rushing home to have a little party for P’s birthday.  We are going to do cake and ice cream.  She has decided on a Frozen theme this year.  All year she has said she wanted My Little Pony and last week she decided it was going to be Frozen.

Wednesday-P turns 4 today!  We have story time in the morning.  When I take P home I have an appointment to learn how to make rosaries for the church.  I love the idea of making them and I really love doing crafts so this is perfect for me.  P will get her birthday present from us and we will do something small on her actual birthday.  S has soccer practice after dinner.

Thursday-This is the second farmer’s market of the season.  I am sure B will run up to it at some point.  S has a baseball game after school.

Friday-We have P’s 4 year wellness check at the doctors in the morning.  I have not told her yet.  I don’t think she is getting any shots and she loves to see her doctor so it should be easy.  No plans after school today.  S will be happy about that.

Saturday-S has a baseball game in the morning and then we will leave right from there and head to his soccer game.  B is working so P will tag along.  After a busy morning we are just going to hang out at home the rest of the day.

Sunday-No plans for today so we will just hang out at home.  Hopefully we will have nice weather and can spend the day outside.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
