Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week is going to be super busy.  We have all kinds of stuff going on.

Monday-It is going to be super nice out so we will be spending time outside.  P and I are going to my friends in the morning so P can play with other kids. I am watching Baby L for a few hours after naptime.  S has baseball practice after dinner.

Tuesday-S has typing class before school.  B and I along with P need to go pick up S’s 1st Communion gift that we ordered last week.  After school S will get a quick snack that he and I have to go to his last 1st Communion practice.  We will leave right from there and head to a soccer game that got rescheduled because no one could make it this Saturday.

Wednesday-P has storytime in the morning.  Technically we are on the wait list but we are going to show up and hope for the best.  S has soccer practice after dinner and will go straight to baseball practice.  They overlap so he is missing some of the baseball practice since it was an additional practice added.

Thursday-S has typing class before school.   We don’t have any extracurricular activities going on after school so it will be all about finishing homework and playing outside.  I have to make mini muffins I volunteered to make for S’s class for tomorrow morning.  I am sure P will help me do that.  I made cookies for his 1st Communion party but since we are not having one I am not sure if I will frost them or keep them for another week until Mother’s Day.

Friday-S has Poetry Café in the morning which B and I are going to go to.  My friend is going to keep P and that means she gets another playdate which she is excited about.  I have to make sure everyone’s clothes are ironed and ready for tomorrow.  B and I are going to the Chris Young concert in the evening.

Saturday-S has his 1st Communion first thing in the morning.  We have to be there by 8:30 and it starts at 9am.  The only good thing is there is another mass that starts at 11am so I know we will be done by 10:30am.  We may take S out to eat afterward.  His soccer game was rescheduled for Tuesday so thankfully we no longer have that.  S does have his first baseball game in the afternoon.  I am pretty sure we will just be hanging out at home that night from pure exhaustion.

Sunday-Today is going to be a complete recovery day.  We have no plans and I don’t plan on making any.

Last Week Recap

Monday S had baseball practice after dinner.  P went with me and it was super cold.  A cold front blew in and dropped the temperature.  The wind was really chilly so P and I only played for a short while on the playground before we retreated to the car.  S never put on his sweatshirt during practice and ran around in short sleeves.  The crazy kid.  He said he wasn’t cold, but he had to of been freezing.

Tuesday I got S ready for school in the morning like normal.  His alarm went off telling him it was time to go outside to get on the bus.  Well I forgot typing class and had to run and get dressed to take him.  Thankfully B was home because P was still sound asleep in my bed.  I took him to class on time and when I got home P was still sleeping.  She slept until about 9am which she needed I just wish I could have been sleeping next to her.  S had 1st Communion practice after school.  He also had piano lessons.

Wednesday S ended up having his practice changed to a game because the other team couldn’t make it on Saturday.  He scored one goal so we got ice cream on the way home.  I got to pick this time so we got McDonald’s sundaes.

Thursday we went and ordered S’s gift for his 1st Communion.  After school I took S to an additional baseball practice they added.  While he was practicing I worked on writing some reviews and post for last week.  P got to hang out with B.

Friday P and I went down to my friends so P could play.  She loves playing Barbie’s and that is the only place she gets too.  The rest of the day we hung out at home.  We spent the afternoon playing outside.

Saturday we got up and went to A’s soccer game.  I love watching preschoolers play soccer.  They all just run after the ball except for that one kid who is busy staring at the sky or chasing bugs.  A scored a goal and I told him that if he scored a goal during the game he also gets ice cream that day.  All he has to do is remind his dad!  Well P knows if A scores a goal that she too can try to get ice cream.  We hung out at home the rest of the day trying to warm up.  We ended up getting dinner with the neighbors and then all went out for ice cream afterward.  I got Cookie Monster ice cream and it was amazing.  It is cake batter flavor with cookie dough, chocolate chips, and cookies ‘n’ cream.  It was the perfect ice cream and I know now what I am always going to get given the opportunity.

Sunday was super nice outside.  We ended up playing outside for over 5 hours never going inside.  B worked but the kiddos and I were worn out by the end of the day.  That didn’t stop us from walking over to Grandma G’s and Grandpa Bob’s because P asked if we could.  Of course we can go.  Secretly I think she wanted a popsicle and that is why she wanted to go.  She must have forgotten because she never asked for one.

They really are bestfriends!

Last Week

Monday-It is going to be close to 70° so I am planning on spending most of the day outside.  S has baseball practice after dinner.  I told P if she was good all day I would take her to the park while he was at baseball practice.

Tuesday-S has typing club before school, and catechism and piano lessons after school.  It is going to be much cooler and a good chance it will rain.

Wednesday-This is the last week with no storytime, but I didn’t sign her up in time for the next session so she is on the waiting list.  I will go anyways because someone is always a no show.  Heck there have been the same names for the past few months and the parents sign the kids up but they have never come, not once!  S has soccer practice after dinner.  It is going to be in the 50’s and rainy.  They usually don’t cancel so I am guessing we will still have practice.

Thursday-S has typing club before school.  After school there are no plans so it will be a night of finishing homework.

Friday-No plans for today.  So we will just be hanging out at home.

Saturday-S has a soccer game in the morning, otherwise no other plans.

Sunday-Another day of no plans so hopefully it will be nice enough for the kids to play outside.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
