Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-It is going to be close to 70° so I am planning on spending most of the day outside.  S has baseball practice after dinner.  I told P if she was good all day I would take her to the park while he was at baseball practice.

Tuesday-S has typing club before school, and catechism and piano lessons after school.  It is going to be much cooler and a good chance it will rain.

Wednesday-This is the last week with no storytime, but I didn’t sign her up in time for the next session so she is on the waiting list.  I will go anyways because someone is always a no show.  Heck there have been the same names for the past few months and the parents sign the kids up but they have never come, not once!  S has soccer practice after dinner.  It is going to be in the 50’s and rainy.  They usually don’t cancel so I am guessing we will still have practice.

Thursday-S has typing club before school.  After school there are no plans so it will be a night of finishing homework.

Friday-No plans for today.  So we will just be hanging out at home.

Saturday-S has a soccer game in the morning, otherwise no other plans.

Sunday-Another day of no plans so hopefully it will be nice enough for the kids to play outside.

Last Week Recap

Monday I knew was going to be a relatively quiet night so S and I worked on getting as much homework done as we could.

Tuesday S had typing club in the morning before school.  I had forgotten about it until Monday night when B reminded me.  S had catechism after school.  They are practicing for their 1st Communion in the church so I took him and then hung out in the back of the church and read a book.  Afterward S had piano lessons.  P went with B to take S to piano lessons and ended up falling asleep in the car.  B was able to get P out of the car, carry her around the store, and put her back in her seat without waking up.  She must have been super tired.

Wednesday S was supposed to have soccer practice, baseball practice, and baseball pictures.  Baseball practice got cancelled first because pictures would not have been until 8:30pm and that was way too late for everyone.  Pictures then got moved to 7pm, which was manageable but still meant we would have to leave soccer practice early.  Soccer practice got cancelled and that only left us with baseball pictures.  What was going to be an extremely busy night turned out to be a relatively easy one.

Thursday S had typing club in the morning before school.  It was nice outside so P played outside while B was working on the playhouse.  I gave P her lunch in the playhouse which she thought was awesome.  We went for a walk around the block.  The rest of the day we just hung out at home and played outside.

Friday was another nice day so we played outside.  My sister brought the new baby over in the afternoon.  P was so happy to see the baby and get to hold her again.  S finally got to meet the baby when he got home from school.  A and L came over to play so there were a ton of kiddos running around the house.  My other sister and two nieces also came over to see the new baby.  Before dinner I had to run S to soccer practice and then come home to watch L.  P was so happy to get to play just the two of them.  It was something different that playing with A and she was all about it.  When S got home from soccer he was so tired from the week and playing outside that there were no complaints when it was time to go to bed.

Saturday we got up early to go to S’s baseball practice.  P and I hung out in the car while he was practicing.  Afterward we went straight to S’s soccer game.  He did so well at his game and scored 4 goals.  P was so excited she ran out on the field to him when he scored the first time.  We had to call her back.  She knew that if he scored a goal we were going to get ice cream.  After the game we headed home to wake B up.  In the afternoon we played outside.  P played with A and S had a friend come over.  They all played outside for most of the afternoon.  Before dinner we went to Lola’s and got frozen yogurt.  P got the flavor Tiger Blood.  I didn’t know what was in it, but man it was good.  Tiger Blood is watermelon, strawberry, and coconut.  Afterward we played outside until it was basically time to go inside and get showers.  Since the kids had ice cream late they had a snack and we watched Frozen.  S was so tired from the day that he fell asleep on top of me while we were watching Frozen.

Sunday was a nice day outside.  The kiddos played outside most of the afternoon.  P got to play with A and they had so much fun.  She always wants to play with A.  They have been getting along so well lately.  I opened the sandbox up for P and S.  They were both so excited.  P loved playing in it until I yelled at her because she was covering herself in sand.

Last Week

Monday-We are just hanging out at home.  The next few days are going to be busy for S so we are going to try to get as much homework as we can.

Tuesday-Is another day of us at home.  S has catechism and piano lessons after school.

Wednesday-P has a two week break from story time until the next session starts.  We may end up going to the library just so she can get out of the house.  S has his first soccer practice from 6-7pm.  He also has baseball from 6:30-8pm and team pictures after practice.  So S has to run from one to the other.  He is going to be seriously tired when he gets home.

Thursday-Thank goodness S doesn’t have anything after school.  He is going to be burnt out.  He has to finish the rest of his weekly homework otherwise nothing else going on.

Friday-No plans just hanging out at home.

Saturday-S has baseball practice from 9-10:30am, and his first soccer game at 10:30am.  So he will have to leave practice early to get to his game on time.  While all of that is happening B is going to take P to Princess Story Time at the library.  This month, Poppy from Trolls, is going to be reading stories.  I don’t think she will be as excited about seeing Poppy.

Sunday-We are just hanging out at home.
