Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
Monday-We are just hanging out at home. The next few days are going to be busy for S so we are going to try to get as much homework as we can.
Tuesday-Is another day of us at home. S has catechism and piano lessons after school.
Wednesday-P has a two week break from story time until the next session starts. We may end up going to the library just so she can get out of the house. S has his first soccer practice from 6-7pm. He also has baseball from 6:30-8pm and team pictures after practice. So S has to run from one to the other. He is going to be seriously tired when he gets home.
Thursday-Thank goodness S doesn’t have anything after school. He is going to be burnt out. He has to finish the rest of his weekly homework otherwise nothing else going on.
Friday-No plans just hanging out at home.
Saturday-S has baseball practice from 9-10:30am, and his first soccer game at 10:30am. So he will have to leave practice early to get to his game on time. While all of that is happening B is going to take P to Princess Story Time at the library. This month, Poppy from Trolls, is going to be reading stories. I don’t think she will be as excited about seeing Poppy.
Sunday-We are just hanging out at home.
Last Week Recap
Monday P and I went up to the hospital to hang out with my sister and the new baby. P loved every minute of it. She got to hold her new cousin and help feed her a bottle. P fell asleep on the way home so I let her sleep in the car for a while. S had baseball practice in evening so I took him while B went and helped my dad. P got to go play with Grandma G all by herself.
Tuesday P and I drove over to my sister’s and hung a “It’s A Girl” sign so she would see it when she got home from the hospital. P was so happy to help me hang the sign. Of course, once again she fell asleep on the way home. I sat in the car and read while I gave her a good nap. When she woke up we hung out at May’s while S went to catechism and then piano lessons.
Wednesday P and I went to storytime. After story time we went home and I was checking Instagram and saw that Walgreens Easter went 90%. I really wanted to go because a bunch of toys went clearance and I was hoping to get some. We went to the first Walgreens and didn’t find anything. Of course, on the way to the next Walgreens she fell asleep in the car. I managed to get her out of her car seat, carry her around the store and get her back in her car seat at the second and third without her ever waking up. She really was tired. I keep telling her if she would only take a short nap every day her afternoons and evenings would be so much easier and there would be a lot less whining. It was kind of nice out so the kids played outside after P woke up and S got home from school.
Thursday we hung out at home. It was super nice outside so P and S played outside until it was time to go in for dinner and get ready for bed. They really tuckered themselves out.
Friday was not as nice but still in the high 50’s, low 60s. B was home so P hung out with him most of the day. They worked outside (really B worked and P played). I worked on some blog posts and paid bills. I was going to fold laundry and decided it could wait until Saturday, so I went outside for the rest of the afternoon.
Saturday S had his baseball practice cancelled because it was raining all day. I spent the afternoon folding laundry. It literally took over 3 hours. I got out all of the summer clothes for P out so I washed all of those along with the weeks laundry. In the evening we went out to eat with our neighbors for a steak dinner. It so nice to have an adult dinner without any kids asking for things, cutting others food, or cleaning up after them.
Sunday was a day of hanging out at home. B went with a friend to help him look at a car in the morning. The kids and I hung out at home. B worked in the garage when he got home so the kids went back and forth between playing in the garage or upstairs with me.
Last Week
Monday-I am going to hang out with my sister for a while during the day. S has baseball practice after dinner. He cannot catch a break so far and get a nice day to practice. It is only supposed to be a high of 42° today with a chance of snow showers in the evening.
Tuesday-P and I may hang out with my sister again or we are just going to be home. S has catechism and piano lessons after school.
Wednesday-P has her last storytime of this session. She looks forward to them every week. She was asking Sunday morning if it was storytime day. I told 3 more days. No other real plans. S is excited to be able to come home and just hang out after school. It is supposed to be mildly warm so I am hoping he gets to play outside at home.
Thursday-No plans but it supposed to be super nice so we will try to spend a good amount of time outside.
Friday-No plans but another nice day so we will definitely be playing outside. It is going to be warmer than Thursday.
Saturday-Not quite as warm as Friday. S has an early baseball practice. The rest of the day we are hanging out at home. B and I are going out to dinner with some friends.
Sunday-We are just going to be home catching up on some stuff. I am hoping to catch up on my sleep and get a good nap in. (Who are we kidding? I take a nap every day!)
