Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
Monday-I am going to hang out with my sister for a while during the day. S has baseball practice after dinner. He cannot catch a break so far and get a nice day to practice. It is only supposed to be a high of 42° today with a chance of snow showers in the evening.
Tuesday-P and I may hang out with my sister again or we are just going to be home. S has catechism and piano lessons after school.
Wednesday-P has her last storytime of this session. She looks forward to them every week. She was asking Sunday morning if it was storytime day. I told 3 more days. No other real plans. S is excited to be able to come home and just hang out after school. It is supposed to be mildly warm so I am hoping he gets to play outside at home.
Thursday-No plans but it supposed to be super nice so we will try to spend a good amount of time outside.
Friday-No plans but another nice day so we will definitely be playing outside. It is going to be warmer than Thursday.
Saturday-Not quite as warm as Friday. S has an early baseball practice. The rest of the day we are hanging out at home. B and I are going out to dinner with some friends.
Sunday-We are just going to be home catching up on some stuff. I am hoping to catch up on my sleep and get a good nap in. (Who are we kidding? I take a nap every day!)
Last Week Recap
Monday was S’s last day of Spring Break. We didn’t really have any plans so we hung out at home. B helped our neighbor reroof part of his house, so I helped pick up all the debris off the ground. S and P took turns dragging the magnet over the grass looking for nails.
Tuesday S didn’t have catechism after school so it was just piano lessons. While S was at piano lessons, P and I ran to Target to try to find these chalkboards to record baby milestones. Unfortunately our Target did not have them yet.
Wednesday S had his first baseball practice after dinner. Thank goodness they cancelled the practice, because it was cold and super windy outside. Instead we had a meeting at the library so the coach could talk to the players and parents about expectations for the year. I have to say I am very encouraged with the coach and am excited for this season.
Thursday P and I hung out at home during the day. I left to get my haircut in the afternoon. There was about a 10-20 minutes between when B had to leave for work and I would be home from my haircut, so P went to May’s and S decided to stay home and work on his homework. I was amazed and touched that he was mature enough to realize he had homework to do and decided on his own to finish it before he played.
Friday B was off so we just hung out at home. B is always tired coming off of midnights so hanging out at home was the way to go.
Saturday S had baseball practice in the morning. I was going to get up early and go to Target to see if it went 90%. I thought for sure it wouldn’t go till Sunday so I opted to stay home with the kids. I was awake though! We left the house around 9:45am to go to a Home Depot build. We drove separate so B could take them to the build while I checked Target. I was totally wrong and the Easter clearance did go 90%. I talked B into keeping both kids, taking S to his baseball practice, and keeping P while S was practicing. I went to all 4 Targets but only 2 of the 4 went 90%. I still was able to scope out the other two for items I wanted to buy the next day. When I got home I let P do an LOL Fizz Charm. She watches videos all the time of other people doing it so I let her. She loved it, me not so much. It dyed her hands pink and turned my kitchen towel pink. I ended up taking a nap and B took the kids over to his parents for a while.
Sunday I got up with S in the morning and left my house by 7:50am to hit up the 2 Targets that did not go 90% on Saturday. I managed to get everything I had scoped out the day before. Afterward I went and hung out with my sister for a few hours. When I got home we went to my dad’s for a family dinner. It was fun and we got to meet our friend’s new baby. The kids loved holding her.
Last Week
Monday-This is the last day of Spring Break for S. B is going to help the neighbor reroof a section of his house. The kids and I will try to help clean up the old shingles and nails.
Tuesday-S goes back to school (I have the biggest smile!). He does not have catechism this week, but does have piano lessons. I was debating about not doing piano this week because there is another skating event at Ohio Skate. After Friday we are going to skip it.
Wednesday-S has his first baseball practice after school. It is only going to be a high of 40°. By the time his practice starts at 6:30 it is going to be freezing. I told him to plan on wearing his winter coat. That is going to be tough throwing a ball and swinging a bat. P is going to hang out with Grandma G so she doesn’t be in the cold.
Thursday-I have a hair appointment in the afternoon. Otherwise there is nothing else going on.
Friday-We don’t have any plans for today. The Hunter Collection goes on sale at midnight at Target.com for Red Card holders. So I will be patiently waiting (not so patiently) to get my pair of boots. I have been stalking the website checking out the collection and counting the days down to when I can get a pair. I am thinking of getting S a pair of boots, too.
Saturday-There is a Home Depot build in the morning. Hopefully B will take the kids and I can run to Target and check out the Easter clearance.
Sunday-I am hoping Easter clearance goes 90%. Because B has the day off it probably won’t and will go tomorrow when he has to work.
