Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans.  Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable.  I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-B and I both have dentist appointments.  It is going to be nice outside so the kids may play outside after school.

Tuesday-S has catechism and piano lessons after school.  The rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.

Wednesday-P has this week off from story time.  We may go to the library and play anyways.  It just depends on what P wants to do in the morning.  The rest of the day we are going to hang out at home.

Thursday-Another day of hanging out at home.  I may run to Target to check out the weekly clearance.

Friday-B is working so we are just going to hang out at home.

Saturday-We have a build at Home Depot in the morning.  The rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.

Sunday-We are just hanging out at home.

Last Week Recap

Monday I woke up not feeling well, but I already had a well visit scheduled with my doctor so I was happy about that.  I ran to Target first thing in the morning to see if Valentine clearance went 90%.  It didn’t so I headed home.  At the doctors I had to wait for over two hours before I got to even see the doctor.  I hate when I have to wait that long but love the time to sit and read quietly.  I just wish the chairs were more comfortable.  Afterward I got bloodwork done and then just hung out at home the rest of the night.

Tuesday I woke up with laryngitis but felt fine otherwise.  I went to all 4 Targets because the Valentine clearance had gone 90% off.  I didn’t get everything I was hoping to find but I did get a lot I wasn’t looking for.  I made 3 batches of sugar cookie dough that I needed to bake this week.   May and the kids came over for dinner while S went to his piano lessons.  When he got home I was still making cookie dough.

Wednesday I took P to story time in the morning only to find out that this was an off week and there was no story time.  We played at the library for a while and then headed home to make cookies.   I ended up having to get test done in the afternoon so I took a break from making cookies.  When I got home later I started right back up again with the baking.

Thursday we hung out at home and I spent the afternoon and part of the evening decorating the cookies for the shower.

Friday I spent the day getting ready for the shower.  I had to bag the cookies I made, and pack everything up for the shower.  Of course there are always last minute details that need to get done, but overall I had done well with planning and time management that I finished everything and was not rushing.

Saturday I got up early and got ready for my sister’s shower.  B had to work late so he got home right before I had to leave at 9am.  Instead of leaving P home with him for the morning I took her with me so he could get more sleep.  S stayed home with him and P and I went to decorate the hall.  P was actually really good at helping unload the car and carry stuff inside.  She helped decorate the tables and did was super good.  We had the shower which went well and there were no issues.  B ended up coming to the hall to help us clean up.  I got home around 4:30pm and B left for work.  I was exhausted and ended up taking about an hour nap while P lied next to me on the couch.  She was tired too!  The rest of the night we hung out at home.

Sunday was literally a recuperation day.  I was exhausted from yesterday and getting ready for my sister’s baby shower.  P had a seriously long day yesterday and needed a “chill day.”  B was tired from getting little sleep yesterday and needed extra sleep.  S well, S is just S.  He was happy to hang out at home.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
