Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
Monday-I have a doctor appointment in the morning so P is going to my friends while I am there. The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.
Tuesday-P and I are hanging out at home during the day. S has catechism and then piano lessons.
Wednesday-P has storytime in the morning at the library. She seems to really enjoy it. We may drive up to Grand Rapids to check and see if the ice broke free over the dam after S gets home from school.
Thursday-P and I will make a run to Target to check out the toy clearance. There are still a few items I am watching. We are also going to make a run to Meijer and check out their toy clearance. They are redoing our Meijer and it is utter chaos. They have been marking down toys just to make room while they are remodeling.
Friday-We don’t have any plans so we are just hanging out at home.
Saturday-Another day of no plans so we are just hanging out at home.
Sunday-S got invited to a birthday party in the afternoon. While he is at the party we are going to the open house at St. Rose so P can see the preschool and class she will be in next year.
Last Week Recap
Monday S did not have school so we went over to May’s to hang out in the morning. It snowed during the day. We were got about 3 in. The kids decided they were willing to head out to a few Walgreen’s to see if we could find any of the great 90% Christmas clearance deals. We went to three Walgreens and then called it a day and headed home. I still had the itch so after dinner P and I went to two more and had some great finds. At one store P on her own found two Tsum Tsum Lipsmacker’s that were on clearance. It was the only two items we bought at that store. I am training her well at her young age.
Tuesday we hung out at home. S did not have catechism but still had piano lessons.
Wednesday P had story time in the morning. She actually went into the class by herself. She was so happy when she came out and showed me her craft she made on her own. She asked to stay and play a while longer. So we stayed. She was so funny playing around the children to play with their mom’s. She was more interested in the moms and could have cared less about the children. When S got home from school we went to Dave and Buster’s because S got on pink for the behavior chart at school. The kids had a blast. P hit the jackpot again on two different games. When she went to pick out her prize she decided she wanted the emoji poop hat. We managed to talk her out of it and she got a stuffed MLP Rainbow Dash. S is determined to get these playing cards in a SpongeBob game. He plays with tokens to get more tokens to fall and so forth. He totally has the gambling gene in him. I was right there next to him playing the same game.
Thursday P and I went to Target in the afternoon. I found a few of the items I wanted marked down while others were still only half off. P has been asking for MLP Rainbow Dash. Since she has been so good about shopping with me I told her she could get it. Target did not have it so we went to Toys R Us to get it. I couldn’t help myself and we ran to one more Target. We did find a few more things.
Friday we hung out at home during the day. We went out to eat with some friends. The kids all got to play and had a great time.
Saturday we went to Port Clinton to check out the ice hills/mountains. It was amazing to see and the kids had a blast climbing on them. We ran to Target in Sandusky and I got a ton of the toy clearance I was looking for. We finished S for Easter and got his birthday present for next year. I found a few toys that will be great presents. We also got some outdoor games for this summer. We stopped and got more apples at the orchard on the way home. I cannot believe they still have Jonagolds this late in the winter. B made dinner and the neighbors came over. P and S loved having the kids come over to play with. They had a good time having dinner and playing. Two nights in a row!
Sunday we drove up to Grand Rapids to check out the dam and see if the ice broke free above it. The water is running but the ice has not broken free yet. I think it will probably happen sometime this week with the rain and warmer weather. When we came home we just hung out the rest of the night. Since S has been getting up super early in the morning (5:30am-5:45am) I made him start getting ready for bed at 7pm and he was in bed by 7:30pm sound asleep.
Last Week
Monday-S is off from school today because of MLK Day. We are supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow during the day. It better not result in a school cancellation for tomorrow.
Tuesday-It is a regular day around here. There is no catechism this week for S but he does still have piano lessons.
Wednesday-P has storytime in the morning. S got on pink (behavior chart) so we are celebrating by going to Dave & Buster’s.
Thursday-Today is definitely a Target day. P and I will be heading over there possibly in the morning to check the toy clearance. If we go in the morning and it didn’t go down we will be heading back again in the afternoon. B is doing a work dinner so he will be home late.
Friday-P and I may be heading to Target if we didn’t make it on Thursday. We are going out to eat with friends for dinner. The kids will have a blast.
Saturday-We have no plans for the weekend so I am hopefully going to get a chance to work on some stuff for my sister’s baby shower. We also want to go to Sandusky to see the huge ice hills/mountains that Lake Erie is making. It is going to be a warmer weekend so this may be the only chance.
Sunday-If we went to Sandusky yesterday we will probably go to Grand Rapids and check out how the river is up by the dam. There are no other plans for us. B may run to Meijer to check on the toy clearance situation. Depending on that could change our entire day.
