Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
So I have been debating about whether I really want to start doing the blog daily again. I have been blogging for about four years now with never taking a break. I didn’t even stop when I had P. I made sure to have posts daily for the week P was born scheduled ahead of time so I did not miss a beat. I have just been burned out and not wanting to even crack open the computer since last May. I event took the summer off from reviewing products.
This Week
Monday-We don’t have any plans. P and I are just going to hang out at home. It will be homework time after S gets home from school.
Tuesday-P and I are going to ride bikes to the library in the morning to return a book. S has catechism and piano lessons after school.
Wednesday-We are going to try to go to P’s playdate in the morning. I have a doctor appointment in the afternoon. We are planning on going to Dave & Buster’s after dinner to celebrate S getting pink on the behavior chart and letting him play games.
Thursday-This is S’s last soccer practice of the fall season. He has really lucked out with it being warm the entire soccer season. The farmer’s market is over so we are not doing that this week.
Friday-No plans, just hanging out at home.
Saturday-S has is last soccer game of the season. B is off so we may try to go out on the boat or do something because the weather is going to be so nice.
Sunday-As of now no plans we will just hang out at home and enjoy the nice weather.
Last Week
Monday S came home from school super excited. He got pink on his behavior color chart which is the highest you can get. That is the first time ever he got pink. We have always told him if he got pink we would take him to Dave & Busters to play the games. He really wanted to go on Wednesday but it was too busy so we are going to shoot for this week. He has not let us forget. B worked so I hung out with the kids at home.
Tuesday was pretty quiet around the house. S had catechism after school. After catechism we went and met S’s new piano teacher. He and I are pretty excited for him to start lessons. It is going to make for busy Tuesdays, but hopefully it will be easier for S because it will be one right after the other.
Wednesday it rained so there was no playdate for P. We went down to Haslinger Orchards and got some pears, apples, and apple cider. After P did not take a nap we went and got there pictures taken. We did fall pics and Halloween costumes. The pictures turned out great. I had a meeting at the library for the Architectural Scavenger Hunt to get the results. I got a 100% on it which is the first time in five years. I was beyond excited.
Thursday we hung out at home. It drizzled on and off all day. S had soccer practice in the evening. While he was at practice B, P, and I ran to Target. We got a few pool toys 70% off, and some other odd and end clearance items.
Friday P and I hung out at home during the day. We played outside for a little while in the afternoon. After B got home I helped him put a tent frame over the pool and then tarp it.
Saturday S had a soccer game in the morning. Thankfully P took a much needed nap in the afternoon. We went to a wedding reception in the evening. P was itching to dance. She kept asking me when could she go dance. I told her she had to wait until after the first dance. Her little feet just wouldn’t sit still and she was out moving around on the dance floor. Even S got into it and was dancing.
Sunday P and I went to a baby shower and S went to hang out with his grandpa. P had a blast and kept telling me she made friends. She was running around with little girls that were older than her but it never stopped her. The rest of the day we hung out at home. I managed to get through the clothes for both kids to see what I need for the next size up. I also started organizing all the clothes by size that I am going to get rid of.
