Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
Weekly Goals-To find as many of the pictures on the Architectural Scavenger Hunt this week.
Monday-S has school and I may go walking to start the Architectural Scavenger Hunt. The rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.
Tuesday-I am going walking with my dad in the morning after S gets on the bus. We are going to work on the Architectural Scavenger Hunt.
Wednesday-S has school and I signed up P for a Little Chef class at the library. She is going to be playing with food and I am so glad I do not have to clean up after the class is over of 18 mos-36 mos old toddlers. I have no idea how she is going to do but she loves to bake so I hope she loves it.
Thursday-S has school. Depending on how hot it is P and I may go walking to work on the Architectural Scavenger Hunt that the Perrysburg Historical Society does. I love doing it. They take pictures around the city of Perrysburg within certain street boundaries they set and you have to try to find them.
Friday-Today is my dad’s 60th birthday. We are going out to eat to celebrate. P, S and I have been working on his birthday present all day.
Saturday-As of now we are just hanging out at home.
Sunday-Today is B’s 39th birthday! Next year will be the big 4-0! As of right now we don’t have any plans for the day but that can change at any time.
Last Week Recap
I managed to get S off to school every day on time. B put him on the bus one day for me and once I made sure he was up I went back to sleep and never even heard the bus pull up.
Last Monday I did make sure S got up and ready for school as a test run. I was so tired so once he got dressed and ate breakfast I went back to sleep till P woke up. S was happy about that because that meant he got to play on his tablet! In the evening we had Meet the Teacher. P stayed at May’s because we were only going to be gone for less than an hour. S did great doing everything that needed to be done at school, learned where his classroom was, and how to go through the lunch line if he wants to buy milk or lunch. P on the other hand was not a happy camper. Since I left her twice in the past week I knew this was going to be rough and she would do the best for May. She was sad but bounced right back. When I went to pick her up she was taking a bath with Baby L. It was Baby L’s bedtime and P really wanted to get a bath with her. P loved it and I am sure would do it every night if I let her. After S went to bed I worked on his First Day of School board for him to hold for pictures.
Tuesday was S’s first day of school. He got up super early which meant everyone got up early. We were up by 6:30am. S did great at school and was a happy guy when he got off the bus in the afternoon. P and I did not know what to do with ourselves and ended up chilling at home all day. We watched a few movies took a nap and relaxed.
Wednesday we hung out at home all day while S was at school.
Thursday B, P, and I ran up to Adrian, MI. B needed to get a jack for the truck and we went along for the ride. We ended up stopping at Kohl’s up there and found a few items for P. When S got off the bus we surprised him and went out on the boat. The kids had a blast and once we were sure the boat was going to run my dad met us at the dock and came for a ride.
Friday B had to work. After S got on the bus, P and I went for a walk. After we got home I decided that P and I were going to run errands and go shopping. I needed to return a few things to Old Navy and Kohl’s. So we went to Old Navy, Kohl’s, and a different Target (Airport Hwy.) than normal. I was on the hunt for good deals and a pair of athletic shoes for P. I was checking shoes I have for her in the basement and do not have any sneakers for this size or the next. We found a few clearance clothes for S and P, but no shoes.
Saturday we went for a walk in the morning, and hung out at home while P took a nap. When P woke up from her nap we went to Barnes and Noble for a Lego build. S ended up getting a little Lego Creator Kit for participating. When we got home I worked on making cookie dough and then we made chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes. I didn’t care one way or the other for them, P hated them, and S was okay with it and said he liked the after taste.
Sunday was another day of hanging out at home. It was gorgeous out so we played outside before naptime. S ended up going to his cousins to play in the afternoon and B picked him up on the way home from work. P and I made more cookie dough to freeze and frosting for the cupcakes. She loves to bake and help me and I love to bake so it is a win-win for me.
Last Week
My Weekly Goals-My goal is pretty simple for this week…to get S ready for school on time each day.
Monday-We are doing a dry run for getting ready for school. I want to make sure S gets up and knows what he needs to do before he gets on the bus in the morning. He asked what a dry run is. I told him he had to get up, get dressed, eat breakfast and then he can play on his tablet and it would just be a regular summer morning. The rest of the day we are hanging out at home. In the evening S has his meet the teacher. We are going to take his school supplies in, find his locker, and meet his teacher in his classroom.
Tuesday-S has his first day of school! I am so excited to watch him get on the bus in the morning. I am also excited to get to spend the time with P.
Wednesday-S has school. Other than that we have no plans.
Thursday-Same as the day before, school and hanging out at home.
Friday-More school and hanging out at home.
Saturday-There is a Lego build at Barnes and Noble. I am going to look into it and we may go do that and see how it goes.
Sunday-No plans just hanging out at home getting ready for a full week of school!
