Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
This week is going to be busy getting ready for P’s party on Saturday. I spent about four hours yesterday (Monday) reworking the 3D sugar cookie hot air balloon. What a nightmare that turned into!
My Weekly Goals
Monday-I need to finish the 3D sugar cookie hot air balloon. I also want to make all the hot air balloon cupcake toppers. We are just hanging out the rest of the day.
Tuesday-I need to make all the sugar cookies today. S has soccer practice in the evening.
Wednesday-I plan on making the cake pops and frosting the cookies. If I am really ambitious I may try to decorate the cake pops. I need to run some errands today if I get the chance-running to the bank, dropping some clothes off to my cousin and a wedding gift to my other cousin.
Thursday-I am making all the cupcakes and the basket for the 3D hot air balloon. I hope to decorate the cupcakes and cake in the afternoon/evening. We will also make a run to the farmer’s market after the kids eat dinner and B gets home from work.
Friday-Today is all about getting the garage decorated for the party. I want everything set up so all we have to do in the morning is add the candy to the dessert table and get the desserts out. I also have to make the cheesy potatoes so we can cook them in the morning.
Saturday-Today is the day of P’s party! It is all about finishing everything this morning so we can enjoy the party. I just hope it doesn’t rain and the temperature is at least in the 60’s. Right now they are saying a high of 54°. Let this be the one day they are wrong about the weather. Depending on how last night went and today I may try to drive to watch my niece in her chorus program. It is a lot to fit in one day so I am not sure I am going to be able to go. It’s a two-hour drive one-way to see her show.
Sunday-B took the day off which works out well for me because I am going to a baby shower for B’s cousin who is having triplets. AHHHHHHHH! No way could I handle triplets! I am sure the rest of the day will be recovering from the week of busyness.
Last Week Recap
Monday we hung out at home and played.
Tuesday we hung out at home and then I took S to his soccer practice after dinner. I was able to get a ton of work done on the computer while he was at his practice.
Wednesday was just a day of hanging out at home. I baked all the pieces of the 3D hot air balloon.
Thursday we hung out at home and then went to the farmer’ market in the evening. After the kids went to bed I decorated the panels of the 3D hot air balloon. I love the way the panels turned out.
Friday B was off and we hung out at home getting stuff done around the house. I did get my hair cut which it really needed. I checked and had not had my hair cut since November.
Saturday morning we had S’s soccer game. The afternoon we hung out at home. I worked on finishing the decorations for P’s party. I assembled the 3D sugar cookie hot air balloon. It actually worked out and I was surprised.
Sunday was Mother’s day and B had to work. I hung out with the kids at home, and then in the afternoon S went to hang out with his grandparents. While he was gone and P was taking her nap I worked on decorating the 3D sugar cookie hot air balloon.
Last Week
My Weekly Goals
Monday-We are just hanging out at home.
Tuesday-S has soccer practice in the evening. B will stay home with P and I will take S.
Wednesday-I volunteered to help with S’s end of the year party at school so I am going to a meeting to go over the details.
Thursday-S has a build at Lowe’s in the evening. I have no idea why they switched it to Thursday nights from Saturday mornings.
Friday-The kitty has a vet appointment in the morning and I am getting my hair cut in the afternoon. I have not had my hair cut in a long time I think 6 months ago.
Saturday-There is a build at Home Depot in the morning. I am hoping I can get B to take S to the build after his soccer game.
Sunday-It’s Mother’s Day. B is working, so we will probably just hang out at home.
