Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
This week is going to be a bit crazy and hectic. My baby boy is turning 6 this week. It is surreal and I cannot even comprehend it. Of course, we have to get ready for that.
My Weekly Goals-Get S’s cakes done on Thursday so I am not rushing on Friday.
Monday-Just hanging out at home. I am hoping to get the kitchen table, and island cleaned off today. This will make baking this week so much easier. I may even let S do the gingerbread train today. Just depends on what is going on when he gets home from school.
Tuesday-Either B or B and I will run to the stores to get all the supplies needed for S’s little party on Friday night.
Wednesday-S and I figured out what he wants to make for his birthday treat for school. I gave the option of muffins (because they are his favorite) or I would try to make a sugar cookie swirl on a sucker stick. He chose the cookie because he loved the idea of it.
Thursday-Finalize the treat for S’s class. He told me that the other kids had them in their backpack and takes them out to give to the teacher. The mom’s don’t bring them in. Got it! You’re no longer a baby! I am planning on baking S’s cakes and decorating them. Hopefully P will behave. She has started to like to sit in her seat and watch me bake.
Friday-Today is S’s birthday, so I am guessing B will make him breakfast, and then open his present. (Yes, we got him a present even though we told everyone else to bring a gift to donate.) The rest of the day is prepping for his family party. S loves having people over and to be the center of attention is even better for him.
Saturday-S has a build at Lowe’s to make a Christmas train. I am not sure what will happen the rest of the day.
Sunday-After P takes her nap we are heading to Kalahari for S’s annual birthday excursion. We usually go the night before his birthday but this gives him way more time.
Last Week Recap
I got all of my Christmas cards out on Tuesday. One thing to check off the list. My reviews are under control now and I am not nearly behind as I used to be.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday were pretty quiet at home. We have been dealing with P and her crazy sleep schedule and not wanting to sleep at night. This has taken a toll and not let us really leave the house.
Wednesday S called Grandma G after school and asked if she would take him to Denny’s for a reindeer pancake meal for dinner. While they went to eat, B and I took P and ran JCPenney’s and Kohl’s. I got a dress for P with my coupon at JCPenney’s and only paid $1.15. I got S three shirts and a pair of pants which only cost me $3.15 after my Kohl’s cash and discounts. Bummer I lost a $10 off $10 coupon or I could have used that too at Kohl’s.
Thursday is when S and B hung up Christmas lights outside.
I helped my neighbor out cutting decals on Friday. I went over after P woke up from her nap, and S came over after he got off the bus. The kids kept each other busy and we got the decals cut out.
Saturday after I got P down for her nap S and I ran to Home Depot to do a build, and then the library for cake pans. We didn’t go to the parade because S said it was too cold and he did not like to go to parades in the cold.
Sunday we hung out at home. My mom came over to give S his birthday present in the late morning. The rest of the day was quiet at home. I took a nap when P took her second nap. It was much needed for both of us.
Last Week
I don’t see a lot happening this week. I think it is going to be really quiet at home. B is switching his shift schedule this week so we actually are going to get him a few more days than normal.
My Weekly Goals-I want to get my Christmas cards out this week and get a few more reviews done.
Monday-Just hanging out at home. I am hoping to get some reviews done and get my Christmas cards addressed and sent out today.
Tuesday-Another day of hanging out at home. I am going to try to go over to my neighbors and help her cut out decals for her daughter’s room.
Wednesday-I am going to try to run to a few stores after S gets on the bus for school. As long as P takes her nap at 11am we should be good to go.
Thursday-Again a day at home with no plans.
Friday-Enjoying another day at home. Maybe I will try to head over to my neighbor’s again to cut out more decals.
Saturday-S has a build at Home Depot in the morning making a building stack. Then we are going to the Perrysburg Christmas Parade in the afternoon before B heads off to work.
Sunday-Just hanging out at home. I think we are going to try to build our gingerbread train.
