Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
It looks like we are getting back into the routine of things and all is quiet around here. No more on the go and planning activities, school keeps us busy.
Weekly Goals-I would like to work on getting the kitchen/dining room/living room cleaned up and organized. Toys keep taking over and I am ready to get rid of more, and move some back down to the playroom.
Monday-I am going to look for more houses on the scavenger hunt after S gets on the bus. We only have about an hour before P goes down for her second nap.
Tuesday-We may walk around looking for more houses, or just hang out at home all day. I think I am going to either make a peach pie or slice peaches and freeze them for a peach pie in the winter for B.
Wednesday-S has soccer practice. B is working so he won’t be able to watch P. I can either take her to my sister’s again or just take her with me and walk around the path they have that is on the outside perimeter of the soccer fields. I could bust out the rollerblades and do that.
Thursday-Today is the farmer’s market. I think we are heading up because I am in the mood for corn on the cob. Depending on the weather I may walk around looking for more houses on the scavenger hunt.
Friday-B is off so either it will be an errand day or just hanging out at home.
Saturday-I got an invitation in the mail on Monday inviting S to a birthday party in the afternoon. He has a soccer game in the morning and then the party in the afternoon.
Sunday-I see this as being a recovery day and getting ready for school on Monday.
Last Week Recap
As far as my weekly goals went, I did get some reviews done, but did not get the Shutterfly book done. I was looking for more recipes and just couldn’t find what I was looking for. I am hoping I come across the basket of my grandma’s recipes at my parents. I have looked for them, but cannot find them.
Monday B and I both headed over to my dad’s to look for the basket of my grandma’s recipes, and couldn’t find them. They have to be somewhere I just can’t figure out where. I really hope they didn’t get thrown out. The rest of the day we hung out at home.
Tuesday we hung out at home.
Wednesday S had soccer practice. I dropped my niece off at my sister’s for the hour and she cried the entire time. I don’t know if I will do that to her again or take her with me.
Thursday B ran to the farmer’s market before he left for work. I hung out with the kids and my niece came over to hang out.
Friday B worked on his Beetle all day. I hung out with P and then S when he got home from school. I let the kids drive the gator around the block in the evening when we took PJ for a walk. S’s bike has a flat or he would have ridden his bike. A good alternative was them both riding in the Gator. It made it the whole way, and P almost made it the whole way without wanting out.
Saturday was super busy and chaotic. Friday night P had a heck of a time sleeping and was up quite a bit. I put a pillow over my head, but B said she cried. I gave P her morning nap and B took S to his soccer game. They got rained on, and S almost scored a goal. He is trying because he really wants ice cream. The only way for him to get ice cream is to score a goal. When they got home from soccer all of us got ready and packed to drive down to Columbus for a wedding. I timed it so P would sleep the majority of the way down there. Unfortunately, she never took her second nap and was a handful at the wedding. She wasn’t horrible, but she wasn’t easy going either. The wedding started at 5:30, and we left around 9pm for home. Yup we did it all in one day. About a 2 ½ hour drive each way.
Sunday was a recovery day. We hung out at home. P slept in till 9am so she only ended up taking one nap, but it was over 3 hours. B and S went to Bug Fest in the late morning. In the evening we went and walked around Perrysburg working on the architectural scavenger hunt.
Last Week
My Weekly Goals: I would like to work on more Tomoson reviews. There is currently a code by Shutterfly for a free 8×8 book. I am working to get a gift for all my siblings and cousins done so I can order them. The code expires Wednesday night.
Monday-I am heading over to my dad’s to hunt for some stuff to put in the books I am making. S has school. B is off. I think we are just hanging out at home.
Tuesday-Nothing planned, B has to head in to work early. I think he be gone before S gets home from school. Just me and the kids.
Wednesday-S has soccer practice in the evening and P is going to try hanging out with my sister during practice. We are doing a trial run with P to see if she is fine without B or me. Since it is only any hour it is the perfect amount of time. If she is crying it will only be for an hour and she has cried longer than that falling asleep.
Thursday-We may run to the farmer’s market before S gets home from school. Otherwise we are just hanging out at home.
Friday-My niece is cheering at the high school football game. I know S wants to go so if the weather cooperates we will go (sigh!).
Saturday-Today is going to be a busy day. We have a soccer game in the morning. After P’s morning nap we are leaving for Columbus. We have a wedding to go to that starts at 5:30. We plan on leaving by one because there is a home Ohio State game that starts at 3:30pm. The traffic is going to be sooo much fun. To top it all off, B plans on driving home if there is not a cancellation at the hotel by the wedding. (I have been making B call the hotel to check for cancellations daily now.)
Sunday-Either we will be driving home in the morning during P’s first nap, or we will be home and B will be getting ready to go to Bug Fest’. Me I will be hanging out at home with the kiddos. S may go with B, or stay home.
