Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

We have absolutely no plans for this entire week.  It is rare when that happens but there are a few weeks out of the year that it does happen.

My Weekly Goals-I have quite a few reviews that are due this week, so I will be working on all of them.

Monday-I finally found pig robe and towels that fit P.  I have been looking since I found out I was having a girl and came upon them two weeks ago at Target.  I had plans to get her pictures done today so that I could hang them in my pig bathroom.  I took her to get her pictures and let’s say we are going to have to go back again to get them done again.  She cried so loud, just like she does when I let her cry it out in her bed.  The rest of the day we hung out at home.

Tuesday-We are hanging out at home.

Wednesday-When I went to JCPenney’s on Monday I saw signs that they were having huge markdown starting today.  When I told B he wanted to go and look for clothes for himself.  So we are heading out there in the morning.  I plan on seeing what I can find for the kids and who knows what B will find.

Thursday-I am going to attempt to make a run to Target after S gets on the bus.  I am pretty sure this will be the week the pool/summer stuff will go down to 70% off.  We forgot last week to go to the farmer’s market, but will not forget this week.

Friday-B goes back to work tonight.  This is the first Friday of the month so they are having First Friday in Downtown Perrysburg.  They have bounce houses, petting zoos and other fun activities for kids.

Saturday-There is a Home Depot build in the morning and then we are hanging out at home.

Sunday-No plans just hanging out at home.

Last Week Recap

Monday was S’s first day of school and he did great.  The only drawback was that on the way home his school bus got caught by a train and he was on the bus for an extra 40 minutes.  B and I played tether ball outside while we waited for his bus.  At least we had fun.

Tuesday we hung out at home.  S had school in the afternoon.  He got off the bus at 4pm which is his normal time.  He only has to ride the bus for about 30 minutes.  The good thing about it is he made a little friend who lives down the street.

Wednesday we were home all day, and then went out to eat for my dad’s birthday.

Thursday we totally forgot about the farmer’s market.  While S was in school we finished decorating his truck for the Power Wheels Demolition Derby.  After S got home from school we headed to the Sandusky County Fair.  It was so much fun watching S compete in the demolition derby.

Friday was B’s 38th birthday.  We didn’t have any plans.  When S got home from school we were going to make a cake.  I was talking to one of my friends and she told me about Night of Destruction at Toledo Speedway, so we decided to go to that.  It was so much fun just watching the racing.  Then came the fun of watching the buses race, the car train (the first car has the gas and the second car has the brakes), and the boat race.  S loved watching all of it and P was pretty good throughout the whole thing.

Saturday was a recovery day.  We hung out at home.  B worked in the garden most of the day.  We got a ton of peppers, tomatoes, onions, and broccoli.  B decided to make chicken kabobs and celebrated his birthday, so we invited our neighbors and B’s parents over for dinner.  Go figure it started raining before we ate so we had to eat inside.  It was a tad messy in the house and I had not anticipated eating inside.  We made it work.

Sunday we hung out at home and then after P got up from her nap we went out on the boat.  She loved it.  After we bounced over the waves a few times, she started jumping up and down screaming because she wanted to do it more.  S had a blast driving the boat.

Last Week

My Weekly Goals-Get S off to Kindergarten with no hitches.  This is going to be something new for us with S going to school in the afternoon.

Monday-S has his first day of school.  He is getting picked up by the school bus and is so excited.  Once he gets on the bus we are going to drive to the school and watch him get off the bus and go into the school.  It is a big step for me to let someone drive him to school every day that is not B or me.

Tuesday

Wednesday-Today is my dad’s birthday so I think we are going to try to do something with him.  If the boat gets running maybe we can take him downtown for dinner.  We haven’t done that since S was like 2.

Thursday-Tonight is going to be so exciting.  When S gets off the bus we are heading straight to the Sandusky County fair for the kids Power Wheels Demolition Derby.  S is so excited and has been practicing his maneuvering.  After the kids demo derby we are going to stick around for the real demolition derby.  That is one perk of S being in PM Kindergarten.  We can stay out late.

Friday-Today is B’s birthday.  He is a whopping 38!  Who knows what we will do today.  I am sure at some point S and I will bake a cake

Saturday-No plans for today.

Sunday-S was invited to a birthday party for someone from his preschool class.  The funny thing is she shares a birthday with S in December.  She is celebrating her birthday now?

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
