Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
My Weekly Goals-Get S off to Kindergarten with no hitches. This is going to be something new for us with S going to school in the afternoon.
Monday-S has his first day of school. He is getting picked up by the school bus and is so excited. Once he gets on the bus we are going to drive to the school and watch him get off the bus and go into the school. It is a big step for me to let someone drive him to school every day that is not B or me.
Tuesday
Wednesday-Today is my dad’s birthday so I think we are going to try to do something with him. If the boat gets running maybe we can take him downtown for dinner. We haven’t done that since S was like 2.
Thursday-Tonight is going to be so exciting. When S gets off the bus we are heading straight to the Sandusky County fair for the kids Power Wheels Demolition Derby. S is so excited and has been practicing his maneuvering. After the kids demo derby we are going to stick around for the real demolition derby. That is one perk of S being in PM Kindergarten. We can stay out late.
Friday-Today is B’s birthday. He is a whopping 38! Who knows what we will do today. I am sure at some point S and I will bake a cake
Saturday-No plans for today.
Sunday-S was invited to a birthday party for someone from his preschool class. The funny thing is she shares a birthday with S in December. She is celebrating her birthday now?
Last Week Recap
As far as weekly goals, I am getting some reviews done, not as many as I would like, but enough. I am hoping it will be better once S is in school for the afternoons and I can do them while P is taking her afternoon nap. Last week was busy but at the same time not. I know it doesn’t make much sense.
Monday It was pretty hot outside so we hung out in the house.
Tuesday we had Kindergarten testing in the morning. While we were at that B went to my dad’s and hung out for the morning. In the afternoon we stayed at home until B had to leave for work.
Wednesday we hung out at home. We went swimming in the afternoon and hung out the rest of the night at home.
Thursday we hung out at home. B went to the farmer’s market with my dad. After B left for work we played outside and then went for a walk a new way. S really liked the new route.
Friday we hung out at home in the morning and then had a funeral showing in the afternoon. S got to go play with his cousin L. We picked him up afterwards and then B and S went to the Tractor Pulls. P and I stayed home, went for a walk and she went to bed early.
Saturday we hung out at home in the morning. S went and got a haircut, while P and I played with the little neighbor boy I was watching. In the afternoon, we went to S and P’s cousin’s first birthday party. I skipped P’s afternoon nap and we went swimming. S did great swimming without his life jacket and was the first kid to do a somersault off the diving board. Once he did it everyone else started trying to do it. The adults were amazed at him when he did it the first time he went off the board. P played with Grandma G in the water while I was with S. She had so much fun I could hear her yelling over all the kids playing there. Let me tell you that pool was busy. We went back to the birthday girl’s house after swimming for dinner, presents, and cake.
Sunday we hung out at home. In the morning, B gave PJ a much needed bath. He then worked on getting the boat running, while S worked on cleaning the inside of the boat. While he was doing that I was watching P and when she was napping I worked on getting some odds and ends finished. Since S starts school tomorrow my bedtime has to be midnight.
Last Week
My Weekly Goals-I am getting reviews done, and hope to do about five a day to get completely caught up.
Monday-We are just hanging out at home today. It is HOT today so much so, that we are not going outside until later this evening.
Tuesday-S has his Kindergarten testing in the morning. B is hanging out at my dad’s to wait for the gas company to come. You know how they give you a window and you have to sit and wait. After his Kindergarten testing maybe we will swim at my dad’s while B waits. It all depends on P’s morning nap.
Wednesday-I am hanging out at my dad’s again. I forget who is coming to fix something at the house, but it is another window of time we will hang out. If the weather cooperates I will let S go swimming.
Thursday-B will sleep in the morning and then we will head up to the farmer’s market before B goes to work.
Friday-It looks like a quiet day at home.
Saturday-There are the tractor pulls down in Bowling Green that S really wants to go to. I was looking up races at Oakshade Racing (dirt track near us), and we may go there to watch the races and see what S thinks.
Sunday-No plans that I know of yet. We need to get everything ready for S to start school tomorrow. I have to make sure I have his First Day of School Sign ready.
Do you have half day kindergarten? We have full day here so once I took N he was there all day. It was a shock but he loved it.Now that he is in 2nd grade its old hat and he doesn’t even want me to walk in with him or anything. Next year when C goes will be another story. He talks a big game but I’m not so sure he really wants to be there all day without me. 🙂
Right now we have half day kingergarten or you can pay for full day kingergarten. Full day kindergarten cost about $2.300 for the school year. So basically you are paying for afternoon day care. If they go half day it is no cost. Crazy right? I think my S is more like your C. He did three days last year in preschool and this year it will be 5 days in Kindergarten. Nexy year he can then move to full days. He does much better in baby steps.
