Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

My Weekly Goals-I am getting reviews done, and hope to do about five a day to get completely caught up.

Monday-We are just hanging out at home today. It is HOT today so much so, that we are not going outside until later this evening.

Tuesday-S has his Kindergarten testing in the morning. B is hanging out at my dad’s to wait for the gas company to come. You know how they give you a window and you have to sit and wait. After his Kindergarten testing maybe we will swim at my dad’s while B waits. It all depends on P’s morning nap.

Wednesday-I am hanging out at my dad’s again. I forget who is coming to fix something at the house, but it is another window of time we will hang out. If the weather cooperates I will let S go swimming.

Thursday-B will sleep in the morning and then we will head up to the farmer’s market before B goes to work.

Friday-It looks like a quiet day at home.

Saturday-There are the tractor pulls down in Bowling Green that S really wants to go to. I was looking up races at Oakshade Racing (dirt track near us), and we may go there to watch the races and see what S thinks.

Sunday-No plans that I know of yet. We need to get everything ready for S to start school tomorrow. I have to make sure I have his First Day of School Sign ready.

Last Week Recap

Monday we went to the demolition derby. Both of them loved it and we had a great time. S got a slushy which he was so excited about. He kept saying this was his second slushy he got this week. He did get one when he went to the fair last Wednesday. P helped me eat my chocolate covered frozen bananas. I had my banana covered in cherry shell which I ate before I let P have some of the frozen banana.

Tuesday and Wednesday we hung out at home. Tuesday we had paperwork day at school. We turned in paperwork, and got S’s school picture done. We ended up having to ride bikes to the school because my purse was locked in the car from the night before. B was at a dentist appointment and met us at the school to take us home.  I did bring his stuff so we could have gone straight to swim if necessary. Not a whole lot happened other than we went shopping for school supplies. S got to pick out his backpack. It was between a SpongeBob or Snoopy backpack. We were voting for Snoopy so we did our best to steer him in that direction which worked.

Thursday was Parent orientation for Kindergartners. I took P with me, and S and B went to my niece’s birthday party at Q-Zar. S had a blasts playing laser tag. B told me he was playing and would say, “Matt, cover me.” I would love to have seen that. He was so happy and tired all at the same time when he got home. There was so much he wanted to tell me, but was fading fast. P was a whole other story at the orientation. She was a handful. She was fussy and go figure we were stuck in the back of the cafeteria and she poops. I had to walk out, and go outside to change her. I tried to find someone to come and watch her, but it didn’t work out, so I stood in the hallway the rest of the orientation playing fetch with P. I could hear what they were saying so I didn’t really miss that much.

Friday B had to work so I hung out with the kids at home. Saturday was another day of hanging out at home. In the evening we went to my dad’s and had a cookout with my sister. It was a hot day so of course we had to cool off in the pool before we could even think of eating.

Sunday the kids and I hung out at home. When P got up from her second nap we went swimming in the backyard. We convinced B to swim with us when he got home from work! After dinner we ran to Kohl’s because I had a coupon that was expiring. I didn’t want to lose free money. I got P some outfits for next summer and then ordered more from Kohls.com after the kids went to bed.

Last Week

My Weekly Goals-I have to get S prepared for school. We have to go shopping for school supplies and get all his paperwork in order with the school.

Monday-We have swim tonight and then the demolition derby at night. S looks forward to this night all year long.

Tuesday-Today starts the back-to-school process for S. We have preparation day which is when we turn in paperwork, pay fees, and school pictures. It is so weird that school pictures are done before school even starts. I always remember them being the first or second week of school. S has pictures and then we are rushing off to swim class. It is going to be tight fitting it all in.

Wednesday-S has swim and I think we will start to get all his school supplies ready for school that starts on Monday. The Pemberville kid’s parade is in the evening. This is always a fun fair to go too.

Thursday-S has his last swim class of the summer. In the evening we have our Kindergarten parent’s information night. If for some reason we get done early my other niece is having her birthday party.

Friday-This is our last official day of summer. I think we are going to spend it just hanging out around the house enjoying the outdoors.

Saturday-No plans for today. We may go to the Pemberville Parade if it is not too hot.

Sunday-No real plans just getting ready for S’s first day of Kindergarten. I have to make sure to get S’s sign ready to take his picture tomorrow before the bus picks him up.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
