Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
We are in for a busy week. This this coming weekend being a holiday we have plans galore.
Weekly Goals-I would love to get caught up on the few reviews that I need to get done this week.
Monday-S has tee ball bright and early at 8:30, we have swim afterward and need to make some pies. B is itching to get a black raspberry pie and maybe a strawberry pie if the strawberries don’t go bad first.
Tuesday-We have swim in the morning, and either more pie making or maybe some 4th of July treats. When B gets home from work S and I are going to the Mud Hens game. As of now B will keep P but you never know she may end up going with us.
Wednesday-Another morning of swim, and I know we need to pick cherries at B’s aunts before they are all gone.
Thursday-We have tee ball in the morning, swim afterward and then the farmer’s market when B gets home from work.
Friday-S has make-up swim class in the morning. He is going to have to miss is soccer clinic because it is the same time as swim. I need to make sure P gets all her naps so she is not fussy for the fireworks. We have our local fireworks in the evening that we always go too. Usually my sister’s and niece’s will come along with my parents.
Saturday-Today is the 4th, so I am going to see if I can find a parade for us to attend in the morning/early afternoon. We will go to the fireworks again at a neighboring town. We have done this too, since S was a baby. My dad usually goes with us as long as he is not working. We park at a church away from the fireworks so it is not terribly busy and the kids can run around. We always have a great view of the fireworks.
Sunday-My aunt and uncle invited us to their town for another night of fireworks. We tried this last year and S never made it out to the fireworks and fell asleep on the way. B and I watched the fireworks as the two little ones slept in the back of the car.
Last Week Recap
As far as goals go, I didn’t really get a chance to work on anything for the garage sale. I did however get a few more items listed on the Facebook garage sale site, and sold a few.
S did great at his two games last week. He managed to get at least one ball at each game. Swim was cancelled on Monday because the pumps at the pool were not working. We went swimming at my mom’s after P woke up from her afternoon nap.
Tuesday we had swim and hung out at home. After B went to work we went to my mom’s again to swim and he got to hang out with his cousins from Florida. There one cousin loves babies so she was as happy as can be playing with P. Unfortunately, P was teething those one year molars so she was pretty fussy. She finally busted that second molar through right before bedtime and her fever finally broke.
Wednesday S went to our neighbors to paint his clay sculptures, and then came home so we could go to swim. After swim, we came home, and S played with B while I put P down for her nap. She had started running another fever so she was one cranky girl.
Thursday S had swim, P stayed home with B and finished her nap. The two of them cuddled in bed and slept until we got home. It rained on and off most of the day. S had a target spot on his arm and when I called the doctor office (I didn’t think it was anything but there have been a few cases of children testing positive for lyme in the last week from tick bites) they told us we needed to come in that day. The doctor thought it was nothing and we just needed to watch it. If it got worse he would call in a prescription. I love that he doesn’t throw medicine at us all the time and is more reserved with the meds. I asked him if it was normal for a baby to run a fever when teething. He said yes but nothing over 100°. B and I both laughed because P has been 103°+. He checked her and said she had tonsillitis (basically a sore throat) and that is what the fever is from. Well she finally let me put my finger in her mouth after dinner and I found another molar (her third) and low-and-behold her fever was gone. Somehow I don’t think it was a sore throat because she hasn’t had a fever since and that fourth molar is not quite ready yet to come through.
Friday S had his soccer clinic. Afterward we headed home. It was a day to spend with B because he was awake and around the house. We didn’t really do anything but hang out at home.
Saturday S had his first friend birthday party, which he loved. Later we went to a wedding shower/party for my cousin. P was beyond tired from not getting her second nap, so she was really fussy at the party. We ended up leaving early just so I could get her to bed. It rained so much that we had to worry about our basement flooding. Thankfully our basement did not flood but the same could not be said for quite a few of my neighbors.
They were all cleaning up the mess Sunday. (It was us about 8 years ago when our basement flooded. About the same time of year it was a few days before 4th of July.) S had another friend birthday party to attend. He had a great time and the weather totally cooperated for an outdoor party. When we got home P was ready for a nap so I put her down and S played outside. His cousin from Arizona is in town so they played outside together. Later Baby A came over and another little neighbor boy was walking with his parents and S invited them to come play. S got to play with a ton of different kids and was exhausted when it came time to go to bed.
Last Week
My Weekly Goal: I don’t really have any goals for this week. I would love to work on getting the clothes ready for the garage sale, but it all depends on how P cooperates.
Monday-S has his first tee ball game, swim class, and I scheduled pictures for S and P. It is going to be hot and muggy so I made plans to go swimming at my mom’s.
Tuesday-S has swim class and then we may go to my mom’s or B’s aunts to swim in the afternoon.
Wednesday-S has swim class and the rest of the day we are hanging out at home.
Thursday-S has tee ball in the morning, swim class, and then we are going to try to make it to the farmer’s market before B goes to work.
Friday-S has a make-up for swim class, so he is going to have to skip his soccer camp this week. Soccer camp is from 11a-12pm and swim is from 11:15am-11:45am. Since I paid for swim that takes precedence.
Saturday-S was invited to a birthday party during the day and then we have a wedding shower in the evening.
Sunday-S was invited to another birthday party. The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.
