Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

My Weekly Goal-I would like to get a few reviews done for the blog this week. P has refused to let me touch the computer when she is awake, so this may prove to be difficult.

Monday-S has Safety Town and swim class. The rest of the day we are hanging out at home. B has his first day back to work. They are doing a transition and today they are having orientation.

Tuesday-S has Safety Town and swim class. We do not have any plans. B has another day of orientation for returning to work.

Wednesday-S has Safety Town and swim class. B is finishing up work for the side jobs he was doing. We are hanging out at home.

Thursday-S has Safety Town and his last swim class for this session. S and I are going to make a birthday cake for our neighbor. S wants to enter the cake decorating contest at the library. I think a lot of parents help their kids quite a bit decorating the cakes but I am going to try to let S do as much of it on his own as possible.

Friday-S has graduation from Safety Town in the morning and B goes back on his first real shift Friday night since he has been on strike.

Saturday-We are going to go to the Cherry Festival Parade. Since my aunt and uncle now live in Whitehouse I am hoping they get spots for us because B will be sleeping in the morning and I will wake him up early to go to the parade with us. S has a build at Lowe’s in the morning. The rest of the day we are just going to hang out at home.

Sunday-As of now we have no plans. Since B is back to work he is on third shift this day so he will sleep in the morning and they we will have a few hours with him before he goes back to work for the night.

Last Week Recap

I did great with my goals last week. There were a few days that we woke up late, but were never late for class. Swim got cancelled on Monday due to weather and we had a make-up class on Friday.

Monday it was cool outside. S had his first Safety Town class. When I dropped him off he gave me a thumbs-up that he was good to go and I could leave. My little boy is turning into such an independent little guy. When I got home after dropping him off I got a phone call that swim was cancelled. What a relief because it was only 54° outside and cloudy.

Tuesday S had Safety Town and his first swim class. It was still too cold for them to get in the pool so they learned about pool safety instead of swimming. He was so bummed about not being able to swim and wanted to go to grandmas. We went to my mom’s and S swam in the freezing pool. He only lasted for about 10 minutes of in and out of the water before he was done for the day. The rest of the day we hung out at home so P could get the long needed nap she so badly wanted.

Wednesday was another day of Safety Town and swim class. They did get in the pool and S had blue lips and nails when he was done with his 30 minute swim class. He is the only kid in his class so he gets the undivided attention of his teacher.

Thursday S had Safety Town and swim class. We spent the rest of the day at home. In the evening, we went over to my mom’s and S got to play with F. That was a treat for both of them. You really don’t realize how much they miss each other until they are back together again. They just couldn’t seem to stop talking to each other no matter what I said.  B went to the Farmer’s Market while I watched the kids swim and play.

Friday was the last day of Safety Town for the week and our makeup swim class. The rest of the day we spent at home.

Saturday I took S and P to a Home Depot build. That was one of the hardest things we have done since P is out of her carrier. She wanted to participate in the build but really made it so much more difficult than necessary. Next time we will take the stroller. In the afternoon, we went to Baby A’s second birthday. I cannot believe he is already two. S had so much fun at the party and it was really strange because he was the oldest kid of the bunch. I think there were 9 kids there all under 5. After we left the party we went to an impromptu baby shower for B’s cousin. We didn’t stay long because P only took a short nap on the car ride there. She was seriously sleep deprived and we wanted to get home before she had a breakdown. I didn’t want to hear her cry all the home and thankfully we made it home with no issues.

Sunday we hung out at home in the morning. We went to a graduation party in the afternoon at a park in Sylvania. It was really nice, but storms were blowing in. After a few hours we left as the rain started falling. P fell asleep on the way home. I somehow managed to get P in the house without waking up and she slept until about 7:30pm. Thankfully she went to bed for the night at 10pm and slept until 6am. That is the third night in a row she has slept all night.

Last Week

Weekly Goal-It is going to be an easy goal, but hard at the same time. I want to get S to Safety Town every day on time, go for a walk with P while he is at Safety Town, and then get him to his swim class.

Monday-S is starting Safety Town in the morning. He is so excited. I don’t know if he is more excited about getting to see his classmates again or learning about moving vehicles and safety. After Safety Town, S is starting swim class. It is at the outdoor pool. The rules for the outdoor pool are that it will not open up if it is not at least 65°. For the swim classes it said the classes will only be cancelled because of severe weather. I guess we are going to drive by the pool to see if they are having classes before I take S to swim class. The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.

Tuesday-We have Safety Town and swim class. There are no other plans for today.

Wednesday-We have Safety Town and swim class. No plans after swim class.

Thursday-We have Safety Town and swim class. After B gets home from work we will go up to the Farmer’s market.

Friday-We have Safety Town and will only have swim class if one of the days gets cancelled. No other plans as of now.

Saturday-Baby A is having his 2nd birthday party. S is excited to go. There is a Home Depot build in the morning to build a Load ‘n Go Truck. I told B about a Fishing Derby that is also taking place in the morning. I have no idea if he will decide to take S or not.

Sunday-We have a graduation party to go to for one of B’s co-workers.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
