Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Weekly Goal-It is going to be an easy goal, but hard at the same time. I want to get S to Safety Town every day on time, go for a walk with P while he is at Safety Town, and then get him to his swim class.

Monday-S is starting Safety Town in the morning. He is so excited. I don’t know if he is more excited about getting to see his classmates again or learning about moving vehicles and safety. After Safety Town, S is starting swim class. It is at the outdoor pool. The rules for the outdoor pool are that it will not open up if it is not at least 65°. For the swim classes it said the classes will only be cancelled because of severe weather. I guess we are going to drive by the pool to see if they are having classes before I take S to swim class. The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.

Tuesday-We have Safety Town and swim class. There are no other plans for today.

Wednesday-We have Safety Town and swim class. No plans after swim class.

Thursday-We have Safety Town and swim class. After B gets home from work we will go up to the Farmer’s market.

Friday-We have Safety Town and will only have swim class if one of the days gets cancelled. No other plans as of now.

Saturday-Baby A is having his 2nd birthday party. S is excited to go. There is a Home Depot build in the morning to build a Load ‘n Go Truck. I told B about a Fishing Derby that is also taking place in the morning. I have no idea if he will decide to take S or not.

Sunday-We have a graduation party to go to for one of B’s co-workers.

Last Week Recap

It looks like I didn’t give myself a goal for last week. Monday we went to the Memorial Day parade. The rain was hit or miss for the day. We spent the rest of the day at home.

Tuesday was a hot one. After P took her nap we headed outside to play in the baby pool.

Wednesday we rode to the library on my bike (P in front of me on a kid seat and S behind me on the third wheel bike) to return a book and then stopped at my mom’s. Riding bikes on the way home, P fell asleep in her seat in front of me. S never did that no matter how tired he was. Later, S was being silly and went out on the back deck. When I looked to see what he was doing he was dancing for P shaking his heinie. P thought it was hilarious and kept hitting the glass when he would stop.

Thursday was another day of hanging out at home. We were playing with the tunnel and P finally went through it. We have tried to get her to climb through the tunnel for the past few weeks and she wanted nothing to do with it. Today she changed her mind and was crawling through it like a crazy girl. I went to my eye doctor appointment and my sister hung out with the kids while B mowed the lawn. I knew he would get out of watching the kids somehow.

Friday we hung out at home. B got off work pretty early and managed to make it to the 1pm meeting at the union hall. Things have really started to move as far as contract negotiations. There may be an end in sight. Not the one we had hoped for, but an end that will be acceptable.

Saturday P and I ran to Target. I was looking for a summer dress that actually fit. Everything is too big and I wanted to find a summer dress that fits to be able to wear to dressy functions. I also took quite a few pictures of the DCPI’s of all the Peanut stuff in the summer area. Stay tune on a post of all the Peanut stuff that is being carried at Target. In the afternoon we went to B’s cousins little ones birthday party. That was a mouth full. S has been looking forward to this birthday party all week.  It is was a Willy Wonka theme party.  He had so much fun playing with all of his cousins.

Sunday was a recovery day. It rained all day so we stayed inside. We got a bunch of S’s old toys out for P and it was like Christmas for both of them. S kept saying, “I remember this toy” or “I don’t remember having this.” Of course he remembered all the trucks and trains and could not remember any of the Fisher Price Little People. He showed no interest in them at all when he was a baby. P loves them so S now plays with them.

Last Week

Monday-It’s Memorial Day. There is a parade in the morning and then the rest of the day we are hanging out at home.

Tuesday-We don’t have any real plans for today.

Wednesday-We have a meeting at the union hall for our next strike fund relief check. I made the appointment for 8:40am so B could go before he started working for the day. Unfortunately, it looks like I may have to go in his place. To get both kids up and ready to go is not going to be a fun morning.

Thursday-Farmer’s market is today. I am hoping B will take the kids because I have my annual eye exam at 6pm. They are dilating my eyes so I will be out of commission for the rest of the night.

Friday-As of right now we don’t have any plans. It looks like we are just going to be hanging out at home.

Saturday-We have a birthday party for one of S’s cousins.

Sunday-No plans for today other than hanging out at home.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
