Last Week’s Target Clearance Finds

Last week I ran to Target while B and S were dropping off some donations.  Well as luck would have it I ended up finding some stuff and needed B’s opinion and muscles to put it in the cart.  I could have lifted the stuff in the cart but did not want to take a chance of straining any muscles.  I’m sore enough as it is.  I got all of this and only spent $174.33.  Then in Sunday ad,  Target came out with a coupon for $20 off $100 baby purchase so I took the receipt back and got an additional $20 off the swing.  So I really only spent $154.33 for all of this.

  • We spotted these trash cans on clearance when we were looking for diaper pails and I said I would keep my eye on it.  Well this week I saw the last one and it was marked down 50% off to $39.98.  I just happen to have a $5 off $25 home purchase coupon for this making it even cheaper.  I asked B if he wanted to use this as a diaper pail, because basically it is the same cost and you don’t have to buy special trash bags.  He was all about it.

  • I needed to get a few pacifiers before the baby comes because if this one likes them half as much as S did, we will be using them in the hospital.  I had a $1 coupon so the pacifiers were only $3.49.
  • I have been watching these food scales because I want to use it to weigh packages to mail out.  It has been at 50% forever and they have had a ton of them for weeks and now I could only find a few, so I decided to get one. Iif I find it again when it is 70%, I will return this one.  The scale was $16.48.

  • Since B and I need to get our dress clothes out of the baby closet we need a place to stick them where we can still get to them and they do not get all dusty or wrinkled.  Well we found these hanging garmet storage bags and decided these would be good enough.  B liked the idea of hanging them from the ceiling in the basement instead of taking up more floor space in the basement.  I picked up four of them for $2.98 each and hope this will work out for us.

  • So, for S we borrowed a baby swing and passed it on when we were done with it.  So we really needed a swing and were just going to try and see if our travel swing would be enough.  When B was walking through the baby section with me we stumbled upon this online return.  The swing was regularly $149.99, the return price was $104.96.  Way more than I was hoping to spend, but realistically I know we are going to need this.  After the coupon that came out this week and with the additional $20 coupon I ended up only paying $84.96 for the swing, which is almost half off.  Lucky for us, this swing happened to match the rest of our baby stuff almost perfectly.

Not a bad haul when I only planned on going to check out the food scale.
