We never really had a problem with S kicking the back of our seats when he was little.  Now he has quite the stretch with his legs since he has gotten bigger and likes to put his feet on the back of my seat when I am riding in the passenger seat.  He may do it all the time, but I only notice when I am sitting in the seat and not driving.

P loves to do what her big brother does.  Now that P is a year old she will be getting turned in less than a year.  She is going to do exactly what her big brother is doing.  I need something to prevent the kids from leaving scuff and mud marks on the seats.  Back Seat Protectors are exactly what I need.  I got these Kick Mat Back Seat Protectors with every intention of putting them in the minivan.

The mats were made of a strong material, but when I tried to put one in the van it was not a tight fit on the back of the seat like I had hoped.  The mat slipped over the seat and then the top strap was clipped around the headrest.  It was baggy in the back and just gave more things for S to kick and play with. It also was quite the noise maker.  When S ran his feet over the mat it made so much noise.  I ended up just taking off the mat.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
