I have been seriously slacking on doing my reviews, but vow to get caught up this week so I finally am getting around to my November review for ipsy. When I got my December glam bag this past week it reminded me that I still had not done November. Better late then never. With infinite beauty product combinations in the marketplace, choosing the best items for your needs can be a challenge! That was why Michelle created ipsy. Michelle and her team of stylists have selected products they love, for you to try.
Each month, subscribers will receive a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Members can watch and play along with the stylists with the same products that they are using. All for only $10 a month.
I have really started to enjoy getting this subscription and look forward to every month. I got this a few weeks ago, but have been slacking on writing reviews.
This is what my package looked like when I opened my mailbox. It came in a pretty pink bubble wrap package.
When I opened the package it was a bright shiny gold make-up bag. It came with this postcard titling this month as “Glam it Up.” The postcard contained the companies who contributed to this month and discounts available.
Cailyn Mineral Eyeshadow-Champagne ($15)-This eye shadow looks like fingernail polish. It even has an applicator that looks like a nail polish brush but has a sponge at the end of the stick. I am not a total fan of this color but it may look good accented on the eyes..
Nailtini Nail Polish-Caviar Cocktail ($13)-I have gotten Nailtini nail polish in previous ipsy bags and love the nail polish. I love this color of silver and it will go great with my Christmas Eve outfit.
Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon-Shameless($14)-I love the color of this and cannot wait for an occasion to wear it. The color is a deep red with a nice shimmer to it. It almost goes on like lipstick. I assume once the point goes away I will apply it like lipstick.
em Michelle Phan Pillow Plush Cushiony Lip Balm-Lollipop ($15)-This little lip balm was a full size product sent by the maker of ipsy Michelle Phan. I thought we may get a sample but I was pleasantly surprised with a full size item. This lip gloss is a little too bright of a pink for me so I think I will be passing this along.
Pixi Beauty Bronzer-Subtly Suntouched ($18)-I am not a bronzer person at all. It does not look good on my skin tone. I am more of a peachy blush but my sister loves bronzer and will only be too happy to take this off of my hands.
Starlooks Gem Pencil-Topaz ($14)-I love the color of this eyeliner, but I gave up using eyeliners a long time ago when someone taught me how to use eye shadow as eyeliner and love the look so much better. My sister on the other hand loves eye liner and will use this in no time.
Make-up bag ($3)-I really wished I had gotten the silver make-up bag and not this gold one. I am not a fan of it at all and will be passing it along. It will make a nice clutch for someone.
All in all the total of this ipsy bag of cosmetics comes to $89 (not including the make-up bag). With this bag of makeup only costing $10, I would say it is totally worth it, this has been one of the higher priced bags I have received. I am going to continue to get ipsy and see what next month brings. If you are interested in subscribing to ipsy, click here, and help me get a bonus gift next month.
