With a new baby I never got around to doing my May review for ipsy. I literally was taking the pictures a few minutes before we left for the hospital because I thought I may have some time to do the review in the hospital after I had P. Not so much, and when we got home it went on the back burner. I am now trying to catch up.

This is what my package looked like when I opened my mailbox. It came in a pretty pink bubble wrap package.
When I opened the package it was a green and white canvas make-up bag with a leaf print. There was this great smell coming out of the pink package and I have yet to discover what it is. Everything is sealed so until I try everything I do not know what smells so good. It also came with this postcard titling this month as “Fresh Picks.” The postcard contained the companies who contributed to this month and discounts available. This month had five products in it.
Avene Thermal Spring Water 1.76 oz ($7)-I am excited to try this. It is supposed to help soothe redness associated with inflammation, and calm itching sensations. S is always itching so I am going to try this on him and see if it helps. It is for sensitive skin which is perfect for S.
Eva-Nyc Therapy Session Hair Mask 2.03 oz (Travel kit with 4 product sells for $22, so $5.50 for each)-I have healthy hair and am very apprehensive to put anything on my hair that could damage or change it. The hair mask deeply conditions, repairs, and strengthens dry and damaged hair. I think I may try this. It says you can use it as conditioner so that is what I am going to do.
Hang Ten Classic Sport Natural Sunscreen 1 oz (6 oz-$12.99/1 oz-$2.16)-With this sunscreen being water resistant for 80 minutes, I am going to toss this in my purse for those times when I forget sunscreen for S or me.
Pacifica Eye Shadow-Natural Beauty (Selling on eBay for $4.99)-I am not in love with the brown tones. I would have preferred something in the gray/black family. I think this is going to be passed on to one of my sisters.
Olive Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm-Refreshing Rosemary ($5.95)-This is certified as all organic ingredients used. I did not care at all for the smell of this lip balm. It is almost a turn-off for me. I think I will pass this on to someone else. It did have a good feel on my lips and was not sticky.
Make-up bag ($5)- This make-up bag was canvas this month. I have never received a canvas bag from ipsy and thought this was a great change. I really liked the natural color of the bag with green leaves/ivy all over it. I liked how they had ipsy within the leaves.
All in all the total of this ipsy bag of cosmetics comes to $26.60 for the five products the make-up bag. With this bag of makeup only costing $10, I would say it is totally worth it. It is not the highest total I have had, but it is still over the $10 cost. I plan on trying the Avene Thermal Spring Water on S, and putting the sunscreen in my purse. I am still on the fence about the hair mask. The eye shadow and lip balm will go to my sisters. I cannot wait to see what ipsy brings me next month brings.
