With infinite beauty product combinations in the marketplace, choosing the best items for your needs can be a challenge! That was why Michelle created ipsy. Michelle and her team of stylists have selected products they love, for you to try.
Each month, subscribers will receive a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Members can watch and play along with the stylists with the same products that they are using. All for only $10 a month. I have really started to enjoy getting this subscription and look forward to every month. I got this a while ago, and am now getting to it. This is what my package looked like when I opened my mailbox. It came in a pretty pink bubble wrap package.
When I opened the package it was in a really neat make-up bag. It also came with this postcard titling this month as “Destination Beauty.” The postcard contained the companies who contributed to this month and discounts available. This month only had four samples in it. Usually there are 5-6 samples so I was a bit surprised and double checked the outer package to make sure it wasn’t outside the make-up bag.
NYX Love in Rio Eyeshadow-Bikini Bottom ($6)-I liked the idea of these eye shadows, but did not care much for the colors. I usually steer more toward the silver/grays. The browns tend to wash me out, so I think I will be passing this onto one of my sisters.
Chella Eyeliner Pen-Indigo Blue ($24)-This eyeliner says it is smudge proof, water resistant, and fast drying. When I opened this eyeliner it totally looked like a marker. I tried it on my hand and it felt like a marker. It was quite wet and I really had to leave it alone so it did not smudge. This washed right off with a little water I didn’t even need soap. I don’t think this would work for me so I am passing it on to one of my sisters.
bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick-Get Ready ($18/full-size)-I liked this color and will be adding to my collection of make-up. I just wish it was a full-size lipstick and not a tiny sample. It will work perfectly to put in my purse.
Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer ($9)-This was a little shiny for me when I applied it on my hand. This again will be passed along to one of my sisters.
Make-up bag ($5)- This was a make-up bag was created by Klari Reis and is one of the first to be in the new Art Series. To learn more about the artist who created this bag go to www.klariart.com.
All in all the total of this ipsy bag of cosmetics comes to $39 for just the three products not including the sample lipstick or the make-up bag. With this bag of makeup only costing $10, I would say it is totally worth it. I did not really find anything in this bag that I had to have, but I did like the lipstick sample that I received and the make-up bag. I really would have liked to get the bag that had the nail polish, body butter (which I cannot get enough of right now being pregnant), full-size lipstick and bright eyeshadows. I cannot wait to see what ipsy brings me next month brings. If you are interested in subscribing to ipsy, click here, and help me get a bonus gift next month.
