I have really started to enjoy getting this subscription and look forward to every month. I got this a few days ago, and am now getting to it after all of my Target clearance finds posts.
This is what my package looked like when I opened my mailbox. It came in a pretty pink bubble wrap package.
When I opened the package it was a blue make-up bag, with cute travel size bottle images on the bag. It also came with this postcard titling this month as “19 Reasons 2014 will be amazing.” The postcard contained the companies who contributed to this month and discounts available.
Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave-In Conditioner (1.7 fl. oz) ($6)-I always use a leave in conditioner/detangler after I go swimming. This little bottle will be great for when we are just going on a day trip.
Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow Creamy Eye Pencil-Penny (0.7 g) ($14.99 for full size 1.5g (sample size $7.49))-I do not care for eye liners so this will be going to my sister. The color is a shade of copper and would go nice with other brown tones.
Skiin Soothing & Smoothing Eye Cream (0.25 oz) ($29.95 for full size .5 oz (sample size $14.95))-This is supposed to reduce the appearance of puffiness and fine lines. I’m not big on using eye creams. I have really sensitive skin and do not like to try items like this in the case it would burn the skin around my eyes. I am sure one of my sisters will snag this from me no problem.
(Malin+Goetz) mojito lip balm (0.35 oz) ($12)-This lip balm is for daily protection, soothing treatment, and uses a fatty acid absorption technology. This was a clear lip balm and I tried it last night and did not mind it. It was a little greasy, but did make my lips softer and they did not feel chapped the rest of the night.
Proactiv Mark Fading Pads ($41/15 pads ($10.93/4 pads)-These individual packaged Mark Fading Pads can help to reduce acne dark spots or current acne. I have used Proactiv in the past and it really never improved my skin. I will try these since they did not have them back when I tried Proactiv. I am not sure that only four samples will make a difference, but I am willing to try.
Make-up bag ($3)-I liked this bag this month. This was a great color of blue and I like the travel bottle images that are on the bag. This is a great size for an overnighter. I may have to wait for the plastic smell to wear off to use this.
All in all the total of this ipsy bag of cosmetics comes to $51.37 (not including the make-up bag). With this bag of makeup only costing $10, I would say it is totally worth it. This month I was really disappointed with the items I received. I would say this was my most disappointing month yet. I have high hopes it will get better so I am going to continue to get ipsy and see what next month brings.
