I recently was selected to host a Command Spookify Your Halloween House Party from www.HouseParty.com. I decided to have the party the weekend of October 17th. Of course I had to dive right in and open the box to see what was included in the kit.
I had to invite at least 10 guests to the party. Inviting 10 people is not hard. Now the question is what are we going to do at the party. I had no idea what was going to be in the party pack, so I was not sure what I was going to do.
The party pack included the following:
- 21 Command Products
- 2 packs of tissue paper, one orange and one black
- 12 booklets with Halloween decorating ideas and a $2 coupon on the back of each booklet
I cannot believe how many Command products came in this kit. The party pack included 21 different kinds of products. With the tissue paper that was included in the party pack they wanted us to create flower pom-poms and use the Command Party Ceiling Hooks to hang them. I have never made the flower pom-poms before but I made a few attempts and they turned out pretty good for my first try.
I wanted to be as versatile in using the Command products as possible so I decorated a bunch of foam spiders with chalk markers and hung them on the wall. I had them crawling all over the picture frames. To hang the spiders on the wall the only thing I could think to use so you wouldn’t see it was the Command Party Assorted Refill Strips. The spiders have been hanging on the wall now for a few weeks and not one has moved. We plan on taking them down now that Halloween is over.
I made a “Happy Fall” sign a few years ago using my Cricut and a Seasonal Cartridge to cut out some leaves. I colored the “Happy Fall” with markers and attached the letters with thread. I usually use paper clips to hang the sign from the top of the entertainment center. This year I used the Command Party Banner Anchors attached to the top of the entertainment center to hang the banner. I love these because I don’t have to worry about it scratching the entertainment center like paper clips could.
Although I didn’t use Command products to hang the other Halloween decorations I made, they definitely added to the party. I had pumpkin garland and leaf garland hanging down from the chandelier above the stairs. The bat chandelier I made with the chalk markers is hanging from the fan in the dining room. Because it is hanging below the fan the fan makes it move in a continuous circle. I love that it has movement. I added a pumpkin centerpiece that was given to us to the table. I also hung a few pumpkins that S and I decorated on the front door under the Happy Halloween sign.
I really loved that 3M Command gave you all the supplies to have a Halloween Spookify Party and let you do it anyway you want. Since I love decorating for every holiday this only helped to add even more decorations to our house. I made two apple pies with a fall/Halloween theme. One had leaves scattered on top for the top crust and the other had pumpkin, ghost, and bat cut out of the top crust.
