I had never heard of nursing covers before my sister got one. That was eight years ago and now it seems that nursing covers are everywhere.  I didn’t get a nursing cover when I had S, in fact, I borrowed my sisters.  I used her nursing cover for both of my kids.  Now she is pregnant with her second child eight years later and I am going to repay the debt by getting her this nursing cover.

Nursing covers are a great thing for breastfeeding moms.  There is a strap that goes around your neck to prevent it from slipping down like a blanket would.  There is also boning in the outer edge of the cover which creates a semi-circle hoop so you can glance down at your little one to ensure they are okay.  If you were using a regular blanket you would have to try to peek under the blanket to see what was going on.  Now you can easily glance down and continue to talk to friends or whatever you were doing.  The nursing cover is also big enough to give full coverage so there is no yanking of the blanket revealing yourself.  I have even used the nursing cover as a blanket those time I somehow didn’t have one with me.

The Grey Chevron Nursing Cover by SavvyBaby is made of a soft fabric that is not only cute but machine washable. I love the grey chevron design I was given and love the fact that there is a little bag to store it in.  As a bonus there was also two reusable breast pads included in the bag.
