I love to use glass containers to store frosting. When I make royal icing, it needs to stay in air tight containers so it doesn’t dry out. With different sizes of containers, it will work out well to store different colors. Because I don’t need the same amount of each color these will work out. There are 3 different shapes and 3 different sizes giving me 9 different containers to choose from. I don’t have to worry about making sure the lids are tight because each lid has to be secure on 4 sides and latch.
I like to use glass containers because it is easy to wash them out and get any oil residue. With plastic storage containers it can be hard to remove all of the oil residues. Any oils left over from other foods can make the frosting break (not mix well, or not stay together) or oils from the frosting can harm other foods. With glass it easily removes all of the oils.
