Foto (Photo) Friday is my show and tell of pictures from the last week. This week is solely dedicated to S and his teeth. It has been a big week and I cannot believe my baby boy is no longer a boy. He is getting his adult teeth. His two lower teeth have been loose since before his birthday in December. The hygenist at his check-up in December told him if he wiggled and played with them they could be out by Christmas. Well he didn’t want to do that and left them alone. This week they finally started to really move and it was only a matter of time before they fell out. I wanted to be ahead of the game and made S this tooth bag to put his tooth in when it fell out and the tooth fairy could easily find it.
- I managed to finish the bag on Saturday, just in the nick of time. I am very happy with the results of S’s tooth bag. He is so happy with it and was excited to put it in his room.
- Wednesday night was the big night of losing his first tooth. If you look at the picture you can see the trail of tears going down his cheeks. I let S do it all on his own and he wiggled the tooth free. One minute he was wiggling it the next it was in his hand. He was surprised but when he saw blood that was the end of it and he just cried. I got almost 3 minutes of video of him being upset about losing his tooth. Daddy offered a spoonful of frozen strawberry yogurt and he was good to go. He even got to eat the frozen yogurt in the bath tub.
- S was so happy to put that tiny little tooth in the tooth pocket and wait for the tooth fairy to come visit. He is just the sweetest thing ever.
- This was S last night after his shower. His loose tooth that he still had was now a snaggle tooth. It was literally sideways in his mouth and moved over to the middle of the gap. I had to convince him to try to keep wiggling it because it was so close.
- He did it, and the tooth came out in his hand again. He was okay with this tooth, but started crying because he said it hurt. When I asked him why he said there was blood. I told him there wasn’t any blood, but he pointed to the inside of the tooth. When I showed him his mouth wasn’t bleeding he was totally okay with it. He wanted to call grandma for the second night in a row to tell him about his tooth.
- S getting ready for the second night in a row hanging his tooth bag on the side of his bed for the tooth fairy. He is hoping that the tooth fairy will bring another $1 coin like he did Wednesday night. He was asking me if it was going to be another coin that he doesn’t have yet? (I got him to start collecting coins and we are working on getting all the Presidential $1 coins.) I told him he will have to wait and see.
That is so cute. My pore N hasn’t’ lost a tooth yet and he just turned 7. He does have one that is just a little bit loose but like S he isn’t into wiggling it so we will have to wait and see. i’m betting he will loose a lot at one time when it finally starts to happen.
