Foto (Photo) Friday is my show and tell of pictures from the last week.
- S had a blast last Saturday taking a break from our Target shopping to stop at his cousin’s birthday party and swim. To be able to swim in the middle of the winter is a real treat for a water kid.
- S came up to me telling me he was freezing. He wanted to get a towel. When I dried him off he wanted to go right back into the water. Although I tried my hardest to keep him out of the water, he went right back in and swam for almost the entire party. I was able to get him out when it was cake time (right before the party was over).
- Sunday when B got home from work we took S out to play in the snow. It was the warmest time of the day. At 7:30pm it was 30°. We knew it was going to be soooo cold for the next few days that we had to take him out and let him play before he was stuck inside for the next three days!
- We tried to sled on Sunday night but the snow was too fluffy and deep. S just kept sinking in the snow and not moving. It was even hard to pull him in the sled.
- We came home and B took S on the 4-wheeler to play in the snow. They rode all over the yard and street (there was no one out, the only tire marks in the street were from B’s truck). S had a blast and then wanted to stay on the 4-wheeler for another half hour and help B plow the driveway. At one point, B thought S was falling asleep because he was becoming heavy and sluggish. I checked he was just chilling moving with the bumps and grooves of plowing.
- Yesterday we worked on making some crafts in the afternoon when S got home from zoo school. He was only too happy to make the penguin measuring stick to measure how much snow we got. He immediately opened the back door and stuck the ruler in a snow drift. The drift was way deeper than the stick could measure and it got lost in the snow. We dug it out but it has to dry before we use it again.
- S finally got to go outside yesterday and build a tunnel in the snow. The boys came over and played with S. Between the 3 of them and B they managed to dig the tunnel.
- S got covered in snow crawling into the tunnel to dig it out. It was so funny because we would see feet in the air and then when I called his name he would pop up and be covered in snow. He was having a blast making this tunnel with the boys.
- The tunnel was actually big enough that S could get on his sled and be pulled through it. He was able to go through it two times before PJ got excited about S going through the tunnel and jumped on top of the tunnel creating a cave in. I guess we will have to try again today if the rain holds out till tonight.
I am linking up with Jen @ Ramblings of a Suburban Mom. She does iPhone Dump and I do Foto Friday. So pretty close!
