Foto (Photo) Friday is a show and tell of pics from the past week. I missed a few posts this week but I am going to do my best to not miss anymore.
- P was so excited to go to her open house for preschool next year. We got to meet her teachers and she is going to have one that was S’s teacher. I am so excited for her to go to St. Rose. S had a great experience there and I hope she does too,
- After the open house we drove to Grand Rapids to see if the ice had broke free above the dam. It did not, but B had fun throwing big rocks at the ends of the ice to break pieces free for the kids to watch. I was hopeful it would happen soon, but we had rather cold weather this past week and snow next week so it sounds like it is going to be a while still.
- P has been asking for Elsa hair for quite some time. I finally thought her hair may be long enough so we tried it. I had to do a side braid across the back of her head. It looked good when I did it, but started falling out soon afterward. She would not let me redo it and ended up wearing it the whole day. She told everyone at story time that she had Elsa hair.
- I posted this on Instagram last week, but for those that don’t check it. We had a bald eagle in our neighborhood. It was actually pretty close and I cannot believe that we had one so close to the house. It hung out for about 30 minutes before it left. I had to be really careful not to let Dinky out by herself.
- I had to run to the store on Thursday night. This is what I came home too. The kids were supposed to be getting ready for bed, somehow they ended up holding nuts for B while he was working on his truck. S is used to being out there helping B, but this was a first for P and she was all smiles and giggles.
- S celebrated 101 days of school on Friday. They were told they could dress up like dalmations. I cut out a bunch of black dots for S to wear on his shirt. They were two different types of stickers. When I started putting the first kind on I realized they were not sticking as well when as I hoped. I decided to put those on the back and the ones that stick better on the front. When S got home he still had the dots on the front. The back side was a totally different thing and only had two left. Both sides were covered the same when he went to school. That would explain why P and I kept finding black dots on the floor. We must have found 5-10 of them. I can only imagine what they found at school.
- P was rubbing B’s back with this massager. As a joke B grabbed it and did it on Dinky. That dog sat so still. She loved it. When B stopped she started talking to him like crazy. B started again and Dinky was quiet and still. B attempted to do it on P and Dinky would not have it. She was growling, barking, talking, and whining all at the same time. She really loved this massager. B and I could not stop laughing at her. If she could purr like a cat she totally would have been.
