Foto (Photo) Friday is my show and tell of pictures from the last week.
- This was our first attempt at trying to see the Swanton Fireworks. S got to go and play with all of his cousins for a total of maybe 30 minutes before the rain started. He loved seeing the caboose at the park and climbing up to play on it.
- I included this picture because I thought it was so cute that we were reading our stories before bed and S put his arm around my neck. I mean, how precious is that? I called B to come in and take a picture.
- B went out to the garden and was picking strawberries when he yelled for me. I was not even dressed yet and went out in a robe. He told me there was a chipmunk and he needed help. I got dressed quickly and went outside to help. The little chipmunk was trying to get the strawberries and got tangled in the netting we use to cover the strawberries to stop the chipmunks, squirrels, birds, etc. I literally had to get scissors and cut the netting off of him. He had it wrapped all around him especially his neck. S was begging to pet him, we kept telling him no he could just look. (I know he was thinking the Chipmunks on TV are okay. Why isn’t this one?)
- Take two of the Swanton Fireworks. This time they went off without any problems. S could not decide whether to watch the fireworks in the sky or look at the trains as they went by. When we asked him if he would rather watch fireworks or trains he picked trains. Go figure.
- This is only my second time ever doing a lattice top on a pie (the last time I was in 6th grade), and my very first cherry pie. B says it tasted good, I don’t like cherry pie so I’ll have to take his word for it.
- This is my very first black raspberry pie and from the looks of it, it turned out good. B sampled it and said it was good but he likes it better when it is cold with ice cream so I will have to wait till he eats more and gives me a report back.
