Foto (Photo) Friday is a show and tell of pics from the past week. It has been a fun-filled Halloween celebrating week. Today concludes it all with Trick or Treating tonight or just passing out candy. S is still undecided about what he wants to do.
- We went to a pumpkin farm last Saturday. It drizzled a little, but was warm enough that we didn’t need to wear jackets. S and P both had a great time at the farm. S convinced my aunt to get him two little pumpkins. We couldn’t figure out what he was going to do with them. He took them home and put them on the top of poles on his playset.
- S is working on conquering the monkey bars. P wanted to be a part of it and started climbing up. B helped her on the bars and she was really good at hanging there on his own. She did it three different times and never let go. We thought she would drop but those fingers never gave up.
- I do not like to carve pumpkins. It is not really the carving part, but the cleaning out of the pumpkin that I really hate. When I was little I used to wear kitchen gloves so I didn’t have to touch the goop. B did it with S last year and I was hoping I wouldn’t have to do it this year. S asked me on Thursday if we could carve a pumpkin. I couldn’t say no because I didn’t know when he would get another chance. We started cleaning out the goop and P was very curious to see what was going on. She just stood there and watched as S worked.
- S drew the face on the pumpkin and I did the carving. I let him pull out the pumpkin pieces so the only thing he didn’t do was do the actual cutting.
- While S was busy carving his pumpkin, P was eating her dinner. She had spaghetti and I love the beard and moustache she had from the sauce. She had a blast making a mess eating the spaghetti, but she ate it all.
- Friday morning we went uptown to trick-or-treat at the local businesses. P didn’t need a jacket or hat because her costume is very thick and warm. S decided to wear his jacket and put the lights over it. He was the railroad crossing without the guard. They both had fun walking.
- When we were up trick-or-treating at the businesses I saw this costume and thought it was the cutest thing. It sure did take a lot of time to make it. I like different costumes but they have to be easy.
- We went to S’s Halloween parade at his school. He was so happy to be walking around with his friends. P was so happy to see S that she went running out to him and stopped 2 ft. from him.
