I love to make all my own baby food for my P. I did it for my son and continued to do it and turned it into smoothies. Now that P is getting older I have started to make her smoothies. When S was younger we would buy him food pouches to use when we were on the go. For P, I love the idea of making my own fresh food pouches for her. The Cutielunch Reusable Food Pouches are the perfect answer.
The bags are clear so you can see exactly what and how much is in the food pouch. I love the bright fruit and vegetable characters on the outside of the bags. These pouches can be made ahead of time and frozen. Simply remove from the freezer a few hours before it is time to eat. If the pouches need to be warmed up just put them in warm water. Do not microwave. Every day for lunch I have been giving P yogurt with fruit puree and rice cereal. So to make that up and put it in a pouch for P to have later is so easy.
When it came time to filling the pouch, how in the world could I do it and not get it all over the zip on the bottom of the pouch? I have other food pouches that came with a top to fill them. I dug that out and used it to fill these pouches and still keep the zip closure clean. Once I used the tool to fill the pouch it was smooth sailing. There is a double zip closure on the bottom to ensure that it does not open.
P loved using this pouch and did not hesitate when it came to eating her fruit and yogurt out of it. When it came to cleaning the pouch I rinsed the inside of the pouch out and then put it in the dishwasher on the top shelf. I hung it on my bottle drying rack to completely dry the inside of the pouch.
