I love to hear the rain trickling down the water spouts when it rains.  In fact, I just love to hear the sound of rain in general.  Well B finally got around to putting gutters below the deck so that when it rains we can sit under it and not get wet from the corrugated ceiling when it runs to the end of it.  I didn’t want a downspout on the end of the deck because really they are not that pretty to look at.  I wanted an alternative that would do the same but be nice to look at.

The Copper Rain Chain Tea Crockery Shaped Cups come in a set of 6 connected by chains.  The entire set is made of recycled copper about 70 inches long.  This was perfect to use and I loved the way it looked hanging at the end of my deck.  Now that it is by the swing I can sit down on my porch swing while S plays on his swing and we can both listen to the rain and not get wet.  I can’t wait till these cups get some patina on them and start to turn a little.  They were so easy to hang-up.   All B had to do was insert the clip into the hole from the gutter and it stayed in place.  It has gone through a few tough rain storms in the past few days and is still hanging strong.  The water has drained out of the cups and I like that because I don’t have to worry about stagnant water in them.
