A little background on B. He wears a belt everyday with his pants or shorts. It’s safe to say he is hard on them and will only wear leather belts that are high quality. What’s the point of wearing a cheap belt and having to replace it all the time or buy a nice belt and keep it as long or longer as you would 3 of the cheap belts? Because he wears a belt everyday he also has belts that are just for dress.
So I got him a new belt to try. This belt has a detachable buckle which he has never had/tried to wear before. The belt said it is made of leather, but he and I both questioned if it was actual leather or just covered in a leather material. It didn’t have the same weight as his normal belts are. The belt buckle was pretty easy to attach. The holes were fine for B and he was able to buckle it. A belt punch was included if additional holes needed to be made in the belt. It would give a much cleaner hole using the punch then what a screwdriver, pen, knife, or any other sharp object could.
The belt buckle was a shiny gold, which isn’t quite B’s taste. Silver is definitely much more his style. On the belt buckle is says “Hermes Paris” on it with some image above it. When I looked into the image I can see that they wanted to replicate the symbol, but it is not authentic. In none of the pictures on Amazon does it show the Hermes stamp. In the review pics on Amazon I could see them but I didn’t buy the belt for the stamp on the buckle. I would rather of had it with no stamp and to be plain. I guess I wouldn’t purchase it again if giving the opportunity. Some may like it, but it is just not B’s or my style.
