Carefree Crafts is a monthly kid’s craft subscription club aimed at kids 3-10. Each month you’ll get a curated package of fun crafts that you and your kids can assemble. Each month is centered on a holiday or seasonal theme, and once completed; the crafts become toys or decorations for your kids. The monthly subscription is $17.95/month.
Carefree Crafts came in a padded envelope via USPS. I got the package in the mail quite a while ago. It was addressed to S, so it made his day to get a package in the mail and not just an envelope.
When S and I opened the package he was so excited to see what crafts were included. Here are the crafts included for this month. There were 6 Easter themed crafts enclosed in the Hoppity Hop kit. It also gave a brief description of each craft and some fun Easter facts.
Easter Basket & Egg Hunt-I was so excited when I saw this craft in the package. I knew I would have to do most of this craft, but S would love the egg hunting part of it. Sadly, when we opened the package the basket was broken. It looked like it got smashed in shipment. When I contacted Carolyn from Carefree Crafts just to let her know she emailed me right back letting me know she sent a replacement basket. I totally did not expect that, but was really happy with the customer service.
Egg Decorating Kit-This is just so cute. I am not sure if S will want to make these, but I love the idea of them.
Update: S had more fun than I expected when it came to decorating the eggs. He was so happy to make the two “boy” eggs and not so excited about the lamb and said his sister could have it once it was done.
Bunny Headband-I love headbands for S to wear. I think I am going to make him wear this when we play the egg hunt game.
Update: S was no so excited about wearing the headband, but loved putting the eggs all over the outside of it. When I told him he had to wear the headband to play the egg hunt game he begrudgingly obliged. I have never had to ask him after the first time to wear the headband he runs and grabs it to let me know he wants to hunt eggs.
Easter Egg Magnets-I really liked these and could not wait to assemble them with S to help decorate our house more for Easter. Since they were magnets I knew we could put them on our patio doors so everyone could see them.
Update: S had fun making these and wanted to make sure that he made them look exactly like the pictures. I think he did a pretty good job replicating them.
Bunny & Carrot Door Hanger-I was most excited about this craft. I thought it would look great over our TV on the entertainment center.
Update: This was actually pretty hard to assemble. I definitely had to help S quite a bit with this craft, but love the final product. It looks so cute hanging off the entertainment center.
Carrot Car Treat Holder-I knew this would be S’s favorite. Anything having to do with a car and he would love it.
Updated: I was totally right about this craft. This was the first craft S wanted to make. We made the carrot car and then when we went to put the bunny driver in the carrot it wasn’t included. S was pretty bummed when he discovered the wheels didn’t actually move. I did email about the missing bunny to Carolyn when I emailed her about the basket and she included the bunny when she sent us a replacement basket. I tweaked the crafts a little and made a bunny head out of the parts I had from the basket craft since we couldn’t make it with the original materials. Does that make sense?
I was excited about the crafts we got this month and will have fun making them with S. I will put pictures of the crafts when they are completed, along with how S liked them so check back to this posting to see the final products.
