A weird fact is I have really high copper levels. Like abnormally high. I have done tons of research on it and seen a few doctors. The overall conclusion, they have no idea why it is so high, no idea what symptoms it gives me, and do not know how to lower it. When given the chance to try a copper mug I was hesitant. Should I really drink out of a copper mug and hope it wouldn’t raise my copper levels even higher?
I decided to throw caution to the wind and tried the Barrel Hammered Moscow Mule Mug. Since I only drink water I decided to drink……water. One of the really neat facts about copper mugs is copper has very high thermal conductivity which takes on the temperature of your drink. The rim will instantly chill and give your lips a frozen sensation. Copper is really good at holding temperatures for long periods of time.
I put cold water from the fridge in it. Whether it was a placebo effect or the real thing, the water did feel like it stayed cool much longer. Hot liquids and acidic drinks can accelerate copper leakage and possible reaction with copper. It is very easy to clean with warm soapy water and dry immediately. It cannot go in the dishwasher
