I have recently acquired two adult coloring books to try and have fallen in love with them. I love coloring in them and cannot get enough of it. I find myself getting lost in coloring and when I look up time has flown by. The two coloring books I got could not be more different. One is so intricate that I find it hard to stay in the lines when I am using gel pens. I prefer to use only gel pens when I am coloring these pictures.
The Color Me Wonderful Adult Coloring Book by Gary Dickinson was the first book I received. I was excited to start coloring this adult book after hearing so much about the new phenomenon adult coloring books. I couldn’t wait and started coloring right away. The pictures were so intricate that I could not stay in the lines using my gel pens. It drives me crazy when I color outside the lines. It is one of my biggest pet peeves. This book has double sided pages, but when I use the gel pens it bleeds through to the back side of the page making it not possible to color. Many of the pages are blank mazes instead of pictures to color. Other pages have sayings on them with very little to color. The few pages that do have pictures on them have such small designs on them they are nearly impossible to color and stay in the lines.

The Amazing Nature Adult Coloring Book by Tali Carmi is by far my favorite of the two books. I love that the pictures all contain an animal in it somewhere. The pictures have shapes within shapes but are not so small that I color outside the lines. Nothing drives me crazy more than coloring outside the lines. This book is only one-sided so I do not have to worry about the gel pens ruining the pictures on the backside of pages.
