When I saw these I thought they would be a nice addition to S’s fish tank. B and S are the ones who decide what goes in the tank and where it is placed. I finally made a contribution and mine is the only living plant. The only other living thing in the tank is the fish. All of the plants are fake and I wanted to add something real that wasn’t going to cause algae. These looked like they always belonged in S’s fish tank and the fish really seem to like them.
Marimo moss balls are thought to bring good luck in Japan. They can grow in a glass bottle with some water and ceiling light. You only need to change the water once every two weeks. The size of the balls I got was golf ball size and they say it took 7 years for it to grow that size. The balls only grow up to 5mm per year. The balls can be divided into smaller pieces and over time will become spherical. These are the perfect plant for me. All I have to do is keep them in water and not worry about them anymore.
