I saw the Acne Mop products and in the picture the girl was wearing a headband. I had no idea what the product really was but thought if I could wear this headband at home and it would help with acne around my hairline I was all for it.
Okay so not at all what I was expecting. I didn’t know this until after I received the product and got headbands, chin pads, and shoulder pads. I could smell the fragrances through the packages. When I showed these to B I thought he could use these at work under his hard hat. We opened the package together and were both turned off by the smell. It was so strong and the bands were wet. Why were the bands wet? Am I supposed to put a wet band on my head and then work out?
Then I checked out the website and this is what I found out.
Acne Mop is a disposable product meant to be worn for the day, or workout then discarded. Acne Mop is kept moist in a re-sealable container easy to grab and go. Acne Mop uses all natural ingredients like tea tree oil, white tea and cloves. So while you’re hard at work, Acne Mop is also hard at work, keeping your pores clean and unplugged, which means less acne on you.
I couldn’t stand the smell so did not even attempt to put one of these headbands on, even just to sample. B would not even touch them because he didn’t want that smell to linger on him. While some may not mind the smell there is no way I could wear these. I think to put these on and then add the heat from working out it would only enhance the smell.
