Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc. hienne
- S had a blast playing out in the snow last night after B got home. I thought he was going to ride on the 4-wheeler with B, but he spent the entire time shoveling off the back deck. He did a pretty good job getting all the stairs and a path on each deck clean for the dogs to walk on.
- I think I may have to give up Jimmy Fallon. I need more sleep and staying up to watch Jimmy Fallon is not working anymore. I loved when I could DVR it, but since I have no NBC right now that is not an option.
- This is more of a Tuesday thing but it could have a nice positive impact for us. Our cable bill increased by $10 a month. It is crazy how much we pay for cable and now they are going all digital so we have to pay even more to get a box for each TV on top of this additional $10. I think we are going to switch to AT&T U-Verse. There are a couple of really good positives. We can tie our cell phone bill in with it to get a discount, my mom got offered a $150 Visa with her deal which I would have B try to get, and home DVR. That means I can watch DVR anywhere in the house and not just on the living room TV.
- Storytime got cancelled yesterday which I was very grateful for. No way was I going to venture out in the snow.
- S has agreed to go to Target with me today. I really just want to check and see if the XO food scale went 70% off. I want to use it so I can mail packages from my house and not have to take them to the post office. It is way easier to mail packages from home and cheaper.
- I got my ipsy package in the mail yesterday. It was pretty frozen so I am waiting till today to open it. I don’t want to break any of the make-up if it is frozen.
What good things have you been treated to you this week?
Although I do Thursday Treats, it is pretty similar to Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom‘s Thursday Thoughts, so I am linking up with her today.

Time Warner and Comcast haven’t wasted any time raising their rates. I can’t believe that the supreme court decided that the cable companies can throttle our bandwidth for specific activities, like streaming from Netflix, hulu or amazon (their competitors). The cable companies have a monopoly, and it hurts consumers. Internet speed is up to 16 x faster in most other developed countries. It is a real shame. Good luck with your switch!
I just watch whatever clips from the show end up in my fb feed! Works for me!
Jennifer,
The funny thing is I used to work for my cable company ih HR, so I have a pretty good idea of what goes on behind the scenes and I still am really urked by it. I guess I am going to try AT&T and see if it is any better. Thanks for stopping by.
Brandy,
That is a great idea, I am going to do that. Thanks for the tip and stopping by!
