I was wondering if I was ever going to get the Target Beauty Box. Well today was the day and I was so excited to open it.
Here is what the outer box looked like. It shipped USPS.
The inner box had a shell over it with the Target Bullseye.
When I slipped off the shell this is what the box looked like with the lid open. I like that they took note from other subscription boxes and used tissue paper. This is by far one of the best boxes as far as packaging goes from the outer box to the inside. This box can definitely be reused since it is completely white.
In the description of what would be in the box they said it would be 4-5 samples of products. I was so happy when I saw two full size items, a travel size and two samples. Awesome!!!
Gillette Venus and Olay Razor ($8.99)- Lock in moisture and enjoy smooth skin with the Venus & Olay razor from Gillette. A match made in skin heaven, Olay moisture bars release skin conditioners while Venus’ five blades deliver a close shave. An integrated hook offers convenient in-shower storage. This is the description on the Target website along with their suggested price. I have never used a razor like this, I am an old school kind of girl and just use a regular disposable razor and some soap. Don’t fix it if it isn’t broken as the saying goes. I think this time I may and try to fix it and use this tomorrow.
Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips ($7.59)- Salon Effects™ Fast, Flawless, Salon Perfect, No Dry Time, Lasts up to 10 Days. It seems pretty easy to put these strips on. It reminds me of press on nails. You get 16 strips, a nail file and cuticle stick. I am not sure how in love I am with the black polish with silver and gold glitter. Not really my style, but it would look great for a New Year’s Party or winter wedding.
Fekkai Glossing Cream-2 oz. ($5.20)-Sheer styling cream with pure olive oil that eliminate frizz and adds moisture and shine to all types of hair. I am willing to give this a try and see how it goes. The best outcome would be beautiful hair the worst it may look greasy and need to be washed out. I could not find the price, but found a kit, took the total amount of ounces in the kit and so forth. So the price is an estimate guess.
L’Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream Light-sample .025 oz ($7.99-1 oz)-4 beautifying actions in 1-Prime smooth skin’s texture, correct even complexion, hydrate all day moisture, and perfect hide imperfections. Since this is in my color I am going to give it a try. I hear great things about BB cream but have never tried any.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo-sample .17 oz ($36.99-1.35 oz)-Visibly reduces acne in 3 days. Dual action treatment reduces the number and severity of breakouts, improves pore size. This is right up my alley. I definitely can benefit from using this. When you break down the cost this little sample would cost $4.65.
All in all, I love this Target Beauty Box and hope this is not a one-time deal. I love that I was able to find all of the products on the Target website. I would definitely subscribe to this monthly, quarterly, whatever they decided. This box only cost $5 and not including the two samples the box total was $21.78. Figure in the one sample and it is $26.43. The razor alone is worth more than the box. Would I buy these items for myself normally? No, but this gives me a chance to try new items I would never try on my own.
