Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do. This week is going to be a quiet one so far other than our crazy runs to Target for the Easter clearance. I am hoping my mom will keep S when the Easter clearance goes 90% off. It will make it much easier to get in and out of Target without S. My body did not cooperate with me last week and hated all the extra stuff we did, so I just hope I can hit the Targets with no problems.
This Week
Monday-It is going to be warm out today which I am really excited about. I am hoping S gets to spend time outside playing. The rest of the week is going to be cooler and wet so this will be his only chance to wear shorts this week.
Tuesday-No plans for today so we are just hanging out at home. I may run to Target when B gets up just to check out how the Easter clearance is going. I am thinking the clearance will go 70% off tomorrow or Thursday but you never know.
Wednesday-Another day of hanging out at home. B is working so it will just be me and S at home.
Thursday-I am just hanging out at home today with S. We may make a trip to the library to return books and get some more. I am thinking about doing our weekly trip to Target at the same time.
Friday-Another day of no plans but hanging out at home.
Saturday-As of now we have no plans again which I love, so we are just hanging out at home.
Sunday-We are celebrating Easter at my mom’s today. Hopefully, S will be okay with the egg hunt this week.
Last Week Recap
We really didn’t do much during the week. For the most part we hung out at home and played outside as much as we could. S got to go on some bike rides with B which he absolutely loves. S thinks that third wheel is like the best thing ever invented for bikes. S got to go to the movie theaters for the first time on the day it was cold out, and fell asleep on the way home.
Friday we went to the zoo to watch the animals have their egg hunts. It really is fun to watch the animals go after their eggs. S loves to watch the animals, and quite a few of them were really active which is always nice to see.
Saturday we hung out at home and then went to a helicopter egg drop hunt. S had a blast and loves the scramble to get the eggs. When we got home S was exhausted and just hung out lounging the rest of the night which worked out well for me.
Sunday was Easter so S got to go through his Easter basket while B slept. Before we went to my aunts S did his egg hunt in the backyard and had a ball. At my aunts S just ran around playing with the kids. He totally had a ball. S did great during the Easter egg hunt until he got his egg limit and then had to stop getting eggs. At that point he had a complete breakdown and we had to leave. He has just been so exhausted with all the stuff going on and really could have used a nap. He spent the rest of the day playing outside quietly by himself and then came inside and just wanted to cuddle.
Last Week
Monday-B picked up some overtime so S and I are going to run to Target to get the supplies to make “bird’s nest” desserts for Easter. I want him to pick out what kind of eggs are going to go in the nest and what color of peeps. The rest of the day we are going to try and spend outside since tomorrow there is a chance for snow.
Tuesday-We are going to start our work on Jell-O eggs (which S loves to make and eat). It takes a few days to make them in all the different colors. It is going to be a chilly day with only a high of 39°. Other than that I think we are just going to be hanging out at home.
Wednesday-We may try and do something with S’s cousins. He has got to see his cousin L twice in the last week and has been asking every day since if he can play with him again. I may try to make this happen.
Thursday-S has his last zoo school. Zoo school takes the month of May off because they are so busy with school field trips, so S has a big break and we may or may not go back to classes again in June. Only the child that is registered for the class and one parent can attend, so it really wouldn’t work with me taking him since I will have the new baby.
Friday-I have my 34 week check-up, need to run to Michaels’s to get some bags of chocolate since they are on sale and there is a great coupon for today, 30% off sale items. We may have to think about going to the zoo to watch the animals do their egg hunts. It is just going to depend on the weather. We could go right after my doctor appt.
Saturday-A local church does a helicopter egg drop where they drop plastic eggs from a helicopter and then it is a free for all for the kids to get as many eggs as they can. We have done this for the past two years and S has loved it. Unfortunately, B has to work and will miss it, so S and I will be going by ourselves to have some fun.
Sunday-Today is Easter so we will be going to my Aunt’s to celebrate. S is looking forward to the egg hunt and cannot wait.
