Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-S and P have dive and swim in the morning.  B is going to come watch S dive because he will be busy the rest of the week.  It is going to be a cooler day so I am hoping the kids will play outside a ton.  S has his first under the lights game.  It is going to be a late night and I hope that both S and P make it through it.

Tuesday-B is helping get the fence around our pool installed first thing in the morning.  P and S have dive and swim.  S has a game after dinner and P is going to hang out with May while we are at the game.

Wednesday-P has teeball in the morning.  We have swim and diving afterward. S has piano lessons in the afternoon.  S has another late night game.  P is going to stay with Grandma because B is working and I cannot watch her and keep the book.  I just hope S doesn’t break down because he will be over tired.

Thursday-We have swim and diving in the morning.  When we get home I think we are going to try to go to Toys R Us one last time.  It is supposed to close tomorrow so I am curious to see if they will severely mark everything down to get rid of it.  (According to news articles it will not go below what it currently has been of 50-70% off.)

Friday-The kids have dentist appointments in the morning.  Then S has a make-p dive class.  If no swim classes get cancelled P will go to soccer basics.  If it is too hot we may not do soccer basics either.  I will let her make that decision.  The rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.

Saturday-S has an early morning game.  It is good it is an early game because it is going to be severely hot outside.  This might be a day we spend the day inside because it is too hot to even swim.

Sunday-We are just hanging out at home for the day.  If it is not too hot we will probably be out swimming and playing outside.

Last Week Recap

Monday the kids had swim and diving.  This was P’s new class of Preschool 2.  She did well with all of the new things they gave her to do.  It was super-hot and with S having a baseball game in the evening we hung out inside for the afternoon.  Thankfully with a heat index of 103° they cancelled all the games for the day.

Tuesday we had swim and diving.  In the afternoon S’s friend came over and all the kids swam.  In the evening, we hung out at home.

Wednesday P had her first teeball game.  She had a ton of fun until the very end when she broke down at the end of the game.  In between teeball and swim the kids and I ran down to Haslinger’s Orchard to get the last batch of strawberries for the season.  We got back just in time for swim and diving.  S had piano lessons in the afternoon.  He was really excited to start them again.  S had a game in the evening.  Even though it rained during the day we still had the game.  The field was fine and there just isn’t any more time to make up cancelled games.

Thursday we had swim and diving.  After swim we went out to the lunch buffet at Pizza Hut.  In the afternoon I arranged for S’s cousin to come and play with him. I also had a friend come over that had a little girl P’s age.  Everyone ended up swimming and the kids had fun.  I also watched my niece in the afternoon.  B finally got the diving board installed and the only time I got in that day was to be the first one to jump off the board.  A cold front came in while the kiddos were swimming.  The kids still swam but the adults did not.

Friday S had a make-up day of diving and P had her first soccer basics.  The weather was not cooperating and it started raining.  They cancelled S’s diving lesson, but P got to do her entire hour of soccer.   When we got home she did not want to take off her shin guards.  She finally took them off after about an hour of being home.  The rest of the day we just hung out at home.

Saturday we hung out at home.  In the afternoon the kiddos played outside.  All of them were out playing on scooters together.  The kids ended the night with ice cream sandwiches.

Sunday was another day of hanging out at home.  S went to play with his cousin and grandma’s.  P hung out at home with me and played with her dolls.  When S got home we just hung out for the night.

Last Week

Monday-We start a new session of swimming and diving.  P moves up to preschool stage 2, and S is still diving.  It is going to be super-hot, so we are going to be inside all day.  S has a baseball game in the evening and P will go hang out with May because it is just too hot to take her.

Tuesday-We have swim and diving and then I am going to try to arrange a playdate for S to swim with his friend.

Wednesday-P has tee ball in the morning.  We have a break between tee ball and swim so I am thinking about running to get more strawberries at Haslinger’s Orchard.  We have swim and diving after.  S is starting his piano lessons again which he is extremely excited about.  S also has a game in the evening.  It is going to be beautiful temperature wise, but the rain may not cooperate with us.

Thursday-Swim in the morning.  I am going to try to do a playdate with S’s cousin in the afternoon and hopefully take him home with us after swim.  I am also going to try to arrange a playdate for P with one of her friends for the afternoon, too.  (Look at me and trying to have playdates!)

Friday-S has make-up diving today.  The rest of the day I plan on just hanging out at home.

Saturday-No plans that I can think of other than being at home.

Sunday-No plans again, just the way I like it.
