Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-Today is the first day of swim lessons for P and diving lessons for S.  We are going to hang out at home in the afternoon and then S has a baseball game after dinner.

Tuesday-We have swim and diving in the morning.  It is supposed to rain and only be a high of 68°, so they may cancel.  If it is not above 65° then cancel swim and diving.  The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.

Wednesday-Again swim and diving.  The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.

Thursday-Swim and diving in the morning.  There is the farmer’s market in the afternoon/evening.  Otherwise we are just hanging out at home.

Friday-If swim or diving got cancelled we will have the make-up today.  S has a baseball game after dinner.

Saturday-S has an early morning baseball game and the rest of the day we will be home.

Sunday-No plans just hanging out at home.

Last Week Recap

Monday was Memorial Day so I took the kids to the parade in the morning.  When we got home it was already 87° so I told the kids they had to play inside.  The heat and humidity was crazy.  Of course, B worked outside all day getting the pool ready for concrete tomorrow.  I did eventually let the kids swim after dinner because they wouldn’t be able to swim for a few days.

Tuesday we were up bright and early getting ready for the concrete trucks to arrive.  We were outside at 7am and by 8am I was already sweating like crazy (and I wasn’t really doing much).  Concrete worked lasted most of the day.  Everyone left about 3pm.  At that point I took the 50 rosaries I made back to get more to make.  I took P with me and drove her around so she would fall asleep.  B ended up returning some stuff to his uncle so P got to sleep in the car longer while he took her to run the errands.  I took a nap while they were gone.  S had a baseball game in the evening that I took him to.  P played with Grandma G, and B had work at home to do.  Thankfully clouds rolled in to help alleviate some of the heat and make the game bearable for the kids and me!

Wednesday was more of getting stuff done around the backyard and the concrete without damaging the concrete.  The kids were not allowed to swim.

Thursday I ended up over at my neighbors helping her pull the carpet out of her living room.  I watched Little A in the afternoon.  The kids could finally walk on the concrete, which meant we could swim again.  It was hot so the kids and I were happy to try out the concrete.

Friday we hung out at home.  In the afternoon, B and I with our neighbor headed up to DTE to see Brothers Osborne and Dierks Bentley.  It was an amazing show I would say one of the best I have seen in quite a few years.

Saturday S had a baseball game in the morning.  I took him to his game and B took P to Home Depot to do the kids build.  They met us at the game when they were done.  Afterward we hung out at home for the afternoon.  B worked on the backyard and S played with the neighborhood kids.  P and I went to a graduation party in the late afternoon.  On our way home we met A and Baby L for ice cream at Mr. Freeze to finish the night.

Sunday was a day of hanging out at home.  As a family we ran to Wal-Mart in the morning to get a few items we needed.  I folded all the laundry when we got home and binged on the show Six on The History Channel.  P ended up swimming by herself.  B and S were outside spreading top soil.  S ended up in the pool playing with P while I sat on the sidelines covered in beach towels because it was windy and cool.

Last Week

Monday-Today is Memorial Day.  We are going to try to go to the parade in the morning.  It is supposed to be a high of 96°, so I am not sure.  The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.  B has to finish getting everything ready in the backyard for tomorrow.

Tuesday-We are finally getting concrete in the backyard around the pool.  The kids are excited to watch it happen and I am happy to get it.  No more stone in the backyard.  Once we get the concrete we can install our diving board which I am so excited about.   S does not have piano lessons tonight because he has a baseball game.

Wednesday-P has a week off of story time.  Not a whole lot going on the rest of the day.  If the concrete is set I am guessing the kids will do some swimming!

Thursday-Another day of hanging out at home.  We are watching my niece in the afternoon.  P has been practicing with her bottle and baby so she can help feed Little A.  The farmer’s market is also going on, so I am sure B will run up there at some point.

Friday-B and I are going to see Dierks Bentley at DTE.  It is supposed to rain so I am glad that we have seats under the pavilion.

Saturday-S had a baseball game rescheduled so we will go to that in the morning.  There is also a build at Home Depot in the morning.  We will try to go to it either before or after his game.

Sunday-We don’t have any plans and are hanging out at home.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
