I went to return some items yesterday morning at Kohl’s after registering S for preschool. I thought I would look around on the chance I may find a few things, but I ended up finding a ton and had to get a cart to hold all of it. About 85% of all the clearance I found was for S. I really did try to find some for the new baby, but did not succeed. I spent $142.09 on all of this and also got $20 in Kohl’s cash. These are the prices on the tags and with an additional 15% off of those prices I was happy what I paid.

I think I found S’s Christmas outfit for next year. I came across an outfit I bought a long time ago if we were ever to have a baby girl. The outfit is black and red so I started hunting for clothes to match. I found the black vest for $11.40 and loved it, but also got the red vest for $9.60 which I really liked and then found a red/black plaid shirt to match for $9.60. I needed to hold the shirt and vests up to the baby outfit to see what fits best and then return the other vest. I loved this blue/orange plaid dress shirt and it was only $6. The black dress shoes are about 1 1/2 sizes too big right now, but will work eventually. They were on clearance $12. Since his feet are getting bigger it is getting harder to find good deals on his shoes.
- I got all of these thermal shirts for $3.20 each. Four of them are plain and the two gray ones have graphics.
- I was able to get the three pairs of canvas pants, they were $6.40 for the cargos and $4.80 for the plain khakis. The OshKosh athletic pants were the most expensive, but S has them now in a 3T and loves them. They were $12. I got the other two pairs of athletic pants for $8 each and the two pairs of sweatpants for $6 each.
- Although this hoodie is not as good of a deal as I would have liked, I know if I waited for it to go cheaper it would not be there. The hoodie was $13.60, and the 2-piece pajamas were only $6.
- I did find a few items for the new baby. I am more into the orange and greens for girls so I found this 3-piece set of striped onesies. It was only $4.40 for all three. These two onesies match the Christmas outfit that I bought a long time ago for the new baby and these will be perfect. They were each $3.60 and match the outfit perfect.
While I hate spending that much on clothes for S I have to face the facts that boys clothes are more expensive than baby/toddler clothes. As boys get bigger there clothes get less cute, too. Gotta buy the semi-cute clothes when I find them.
