Enjoy my Friday’s Letters. This week it is all about having this baby!
Dear Pregnancy, I am so over you. I told the doctor yesterday that if I see her next week for my 39 week check-up it will be in tears. I have tried everything to get this labor started and nothing has worked. I need a little divine intervention.
Dear S, I do not want to leave you for the night when your baby sister is born, but I don’t really have an option. I am hoping that your dad and I can somehow time it so he can be with you at night. Guess we will see how it goes.
Dear B, I cannot believe everything that you have gotten done in the past week to get ready for this baby. Somehow you managed to get all the new furniture you built done and installed, cleaned the house, and helped with S. Now it just shows me how much you can accomplish in a week.
Dear New Baby, I don’t see us making it through the weekend. I feel like you will be making an appearance by the end of the weekend. With all the contractions that have been happening for the past week it has got to happen soon.
Dear OB Doctor, I am really hoping that you are on-call when I go into labor. I know I will get someone from the practice, but I would like if we can work it out that it is you. You are only on-call three days this month so the odds are against me. It just happens that you are on-call today, Sunday and my actual due date May 28th. No way am I waiting till the 28th, so let’s work this out for today or Sunday. Deal?
