Enjoy my Friday’s Letters.
Dear S, I cannot believe how much fun you had playing by yourself outside yesterday with the sprinkler. I thought for sure it would only last about 10-20 minutes, but no. You played with the water for over 2 hours. Now that is what I call a water baby. Trust me if we had the baby pool out or our neighbors had their pool open already I would have been right there with you. I think me getting my head and feet wet in the sprinkler put a pretty good smile on your face.
Dear B, I am so glad you are off work for the next week. I could use a few days to sleep in and I am just plain worn out. This baby is kicking my butt and I could use all the help I can get.
Dear New Baby, Seriously what is going on with you? Last week you had my blood pressure spike high and they had to test me for pre-eclampsia (which was negative). This week you move inward and only measure at 32 week when last week you measured 35 and should be measuring at 37 weeks. Now we have to get an ultrasound today to make sure everything is okay with you. I would be more than happy if you proved the doctor wrong and just made your appearance already showing us everything is good. Oh, just in case, I am having the ultrasound tech makes sure you are still a girl.
Dear Target, I didn’t bother going to see you this week and honestly I don’t feel like I am missing anything. I don’t think at this point that any deals are worth the pain I get from walking around.
Dear Farmer’s Market, I am so glad you are back and enjoyed going last night to walk around. B got to get most of his plants for the garden, S picked out some yellow flowers for me (which was so cute), and I got to talk to my favorite vendor. I love Haslinger’s Orchard and make sure I talk to them every week to see how the fruits are doing. I was informed that strawberries are still about a month away which is what I figured, but there will be no peaches this year. He said the entire region is not going to have peaches because of the deep freeze we had this past winter. He said when it gets negative 5 it can be questionable, but when it gets negative 15 it kills any chance of peaches for the summer. What a bummer! I make all of my own baby food and now the baby won’t have fresh peaches to feed the baby when she starts eating food in the winter. At least the pears and apples are still going to be okay as long as we don’t get any late freezes.
