Foto (Photo) Friday is a show and tell of pics from the past week. Another week of slacking and I did not do any posts from Wednesday until today (Sunday night, technically Monday morning). The summer just makes the days get away from me. Here is a little of what we did last week.
- P has wanted to ride her scooter a ton lately. It isn’t the easiest for her to really learn how to ride this but it did work out when I let her ride around the pool. I got to sit and work on my rosaries while she rode around the pool.
- I had to bribe her with special licorice if she would ride her bike. I finally convinced her but she is like “Driving Miss Daisy” riding her bike. She is so slow and takes her time. She is the complete opposite of her brother. S was riding a bike this size when he was 3. He used to ride so much and so fast he practically wore out his training wheels and made a bald spot on the tire. When he was 4 1/2 years old he was on two wheels. She has only a few more months if she wants to be the same as her brother. I don’t think she is in any rush to learn how to ride a two-wheeler or even her bike with training wheels. I describe her by saying she prefers to ride shotgun and let someone else do all the work while she enjoys it.
- P had her first official teeball game. She loved it and had so much fun. She even fielded a ball. As soon as she did she gave me thumbs up and yelled, “I get ice cream!” Well, that’s not how it works for teeball.
- We got out an inflatable spring for the kids to play on. Our neighbor gave it to us and the kids love it. I am not sure how they are really supposed to play on it. I think it is more for just floating on the pool making your pool look cool instead of using it.
- I went to Target this week while S was at piano lessons. I had to take pictures and check out what was going to be part of the summer clearance next month. It looks like the Disney stuff will be part of the clearance. Only time will tell, but I hope so. It was super cute stuff.
- P had her first soccer at the Rec. It is just Soccer Basics where they learn how to kick the ball, dribble it, and some other stuff. She was so excited to wear shin guards and wanted to keep them on all day. She was excited to wear her “Stay Wild” shirt and loved when the Rec. staff commented on the shirt.
- S has been swimming a ton this week. On two different days he spent over 4 hours swimming. We are definitely getting our money’s worth out of it with S.
